"Felix, you do know that I love you right?" My mom ask me as I'm say in her lap. "Yes mom, I love you with all my heart." I tell her. "Promise you won't leave me alone when you grow up to be a strong man like your father?" She continues. "I promise mom that I will never leave you alone." I insure her. "Alrighty then, I'm going to go make dinner you don't go anywhere now."

"Felix! Dinners ready!" I hear my mom yell from the kitchen. "Coming!!" I reply back to her. As I rush down the steps the sweet scent of chicken and dumplings fills my nose making me run faster into the kitchen. Gasping for a breath I stutter, "I'm...here..." My mom hands me a bowl of hot chicken and dumplings. As I go to take a bite my body freezes. "What the heck is going on?" I think to myself. Darting my eyes back and forth I find that everything around me has froze too. At that moment I look at my mom noticing that her face was drooping down. Looking in horror words come out of her hanging mouth, "You will die..." Finishing those words I knew that wasn't my mother. Slowly reaching for my throat her eyes popped out of her head as blood oozed from the places her skin used to be. This isn't my mom, it's some kind of monster. The hand had reached my face as her nails grew to be claws she wrapped her hand around my face and yanked, cutting my face as she laughed a distorted laugh with the slightest wheeze. Screaming out of horror and pain I I felt the slivers of skin cut out of my face now hanging down like whiskers on a cat. Slowly she let her finger trickle down to my throat and pulled away. Thinking it was over I sighed. But just then she jabbed her thumb out her claw nail penetrating my neck. Feeling the back of my neck I knew she had stabbed right threw me. Looking her in the face crying I never thought my mom would be such a monster. Her face now pure blood and bone I saw a glimpse of sadness as if she regretted what she did, even though I'm about to die because of her I couldn't help but feel sorry for her like she was in her body that someone else was controlling. Those were the last thoughts I had as I let death claim me.
Sorry if this chapter was a little short I wanted to leave some suspense to the end.
