Another Chance ~Shin Sekai~

✨Chapter 1: Golden Chance✨28/01/20

"They were good people everybody liked them, they may have had enemies but they have always kept there smile, the world has lost a great friend." As a friend of my dads' finishes he looks at me to give out a speech, I slightly nod my head in disagreement as I was too lost in my mind I couldn't think sanely, my best friend Tonia approaches with hugs, she knew that all I wanted to do is pile up in a corner and just forget everything. As they were leaving I noticed a billboard right outside my house containing: (The New World), I immediately knew what it was but I decided to ignore it as my parents told me to not listen to what it said, I saw a small number at the left corner of the billboard, and decided to save it on my phone if I cannot handle my feelings anymore.

I went outside for a walk because I needed to clear things from my head, as soon as I stepped out of the house I was welcomed with the slight breeze of summer, it had hit my unfixed black hair which I had always left like that. I enter an old and cracked sidewalk and memories start to pile up in my head from when I was with my parents, I seriously couldn't take control of my head, I think I was going insane, I sat down on a dusty yet rusty bench and decided to lay down for a while, and that while turned into hours,I wasn't asleep, I just stared at the misty blue sky and thought of my childhood.
When I returned to my house I was greeted with an envelope right outside my front door I took it and left it on the table. I went up to my bedroom and opened my computer, I do my fare share of gaming, but the this was the first time it ever happened to me I just didn't want to play, I finally stopped staring at the home screen of my desktop and decided to open the browser, I was greeted with the news articles, talking about how half of the population of my country had gone to the new world, I shift in my comfy pitch black jacket, and click on the article.

"Huh?" I say out semi loudly, they have written that there is place for people to travel to the new world, I check when the article was published, to my surprise it was published almost an hour ago, there was almost never place for people to travel, "this is my Golden Chance," I thought.
I did some brain storming and I remembered that they may send me of to an orphanage. After 10 minutes of non stop thinking, I called Tonia and told her that I had decided to go to the new world, I thought I was going to have to do some convincing so that I can travel, but all she said was "I'm coming too."
I did some packing and took some of my clothes and some childhood toys I never threw away, and that was about it. I went downstairs and I came to know that I am as hungry as it gets, I haven't eaten all day I was too concentrated on my loss I hadn't even brushed my teeth normally.

After checking on everything I remembered about the envelope that I had left, I opened it, a card was contained inside It, I didn't know what it was, it had something carved on its back, it said "shin sekai",
"weird" I thought, I didn't mind it much at the time so I placed it in my pocket. As soon as I left my house I was accosted with Tonia's hugs, this time I gave one back. I closed the house for one last time, and turned around.

"So how are we going to get to the new world?" Tonia queried, I pulled out my phone and called the number I had saved earlier today,
"Hello, sir how can I help you?" A lady with an endearing voice answered.
"Hi, how can we get to the new world?" I replied
"Oh just send us your location and we will come to collect you." She solemnly said.

And in the matter of minutes we see a car take a turn and come pick us up, we enter the car, the driver who was wearing a blue and green uniform, wavered around and asked " is this your first time going to the new world the Shin Sekai sir?",
"Yes, and what is the shin sekai?, I got a card that has that name on it.",
"It is the name of the new world and that card will show you, your house among other things, now refrain from asking any question I am going to drive you to your destination." He said right after we got in.
"Weird" I thought

The ride was fast, we went to an underground tunnels and there he dropped us near a giant gate, it looked old and had writing scribbled all around it, " he told us to enter from the left side." Tonia said to me, I head to the left side and true to his words there is a smaller gate where you can enter. It had two heavily armed guys guarding it.

"Show us your card." One of the guards said.
"What card?" Tonia said with a confused expression all over her face
"Oh I think he is talking about this card." I take the card out of my pocket and hand it to the guard.
"So it is only you two." The other guard said

I nodded in agreement, he scanned the card and allowed us in, we enter and it is a small room with no one but us and a train. "Please Enter the train." A robotic voice said.
It seemed sketchy, however we entered, there were people in the train though, the train started to move. I noticed two siblings around the same age as us but they seemed scared and looked in terrible condition, I approach them and Tonia followed.

"Hello there, how are you?" I said trying to sound as friendly as possible, they seemed startled by us.
"Who sent you? Who are you?!!!" The brother uttered.
"What do you mean who sent us? We are just trying to become friends!" I said.
"Liar you are after our money stop chasing us please!!" The sister screamed.
"What money?" I thought.
"We aren't after your money I swear, I don't even know who both of you are, I just thought because we are around the same age we could become friends!" I exclaimed.

After some convincing they believed us, and decided to talk a bit, "so what is your name? Mine is Tanji and this is Tonia," I asked,
"Oh mine is Lilly and my brother's is Aste." The sister answered, she seemed to be the more social person. After a bit of conversing with them we reached!
I was more than excited I picked Tonia's bag and mine and headed out.

"What is this?!?!" I shouted, Tonia, Lilly and Aste heard my loud voice and ran out, they also were dumbfounded.
