I flutter my eyes open and see my aunt and a doctor or nurse hovering over me.

"Hello, Ms. Gonzalez. Glad you're awake. It's important I ask you these questions. What is your name?"

"I- Iris Gonzalez."

"When's your birthday?"

"June 20th."

"How are you feeling?"

"A little drowsy."

"That's normal. You're going to feel a little prick in your finger okay?"

I nod and he pricks my finger with a needle. It hurt a little but not too bad. I feel like a zombie. As I blink I feel my eyes getting heavy but I force myself to stay up. In a few short minutes we're at the hospital.

They put me in a room and my aunt goes into a conversation with a doctor. She slowly nods and walks away.

"Iris, are you okay?" She says and grabs a hold of my hand.

"Yea, no worries. Just a little tired. How long have I been asleep?"

"Maybe 45 minutes. But you're going to be okay. I promise." She says and kisses my hand. "Oh and by the way, Jackson's in the lobby. He got here when the ambulance did."

I was exited to hear Jackson was back. That also meant Aubrey was back. "Can he come see me?" I say with my voice a little dry.

"Of course." She sighs. "I'll go get him." She smiles the hurries away.

I look around and to my left is a small boy, getting stitches on his lip. To my right is a teenage girl about 18. She just found out her baby died.

She cries and cries for about 15 minutes. My aunt hasn't seem to come back yet so I decide to talk to her.

"I'm really sorry... about your baby."

She looks up and despair fell onto her face. "It was going to be a boy. I was going to name him Stiles. I just don't know what happened."

She cries into her hands again. "Well, I found out I have a very deadly, dangerous heart tumor. I can't have surgery or anything to remove it. Before you say sorry or anything, I promise to you, I will take care of Stiles when I get to heaven. If I go downhill, that's a different story. But I will try my hardest to get to him."

Before she could say anything else, Jackson came in. "Jack-"

I barley was able to greet him because he lunged towards me and pulled me into a hug. He knocked the air out of me but I was glad to see him again.

"Iris, I don't know what to say. I swear I will do everything in my power to keep you ali-"

"No, Jackson, don't finish that last part please. I don't want you to treat me like I'm dying. I would like for you to treat me as if nothing was happening right now. Just like you would've treated me if I was at home. A souvenir or tell me everything that happened." I sit up and fold my arms.

"I'm sorry, Iris, I can't do that. Then when you do-"

"Okay, listen to me. I know it's hard for you to treat me like nothing's going on but if you treat me like this, I'm going to feel like I'm going away tomorrow. Does that make sense? I probably have 5 years and I don't want you treating me like a wounded puppy. Everything is going to be okay. I know it."

With that last sentence I seen Jackson blow away, turning into dust. I try to reach out for him but he's already gone. For some reason this all seems normal to me. I hop off of the hospital bed and I see nothing but pitch black.

"Iris, come on! It's time to go!" I hear a voice say. It sounded so far away.

"Jay-C?" I call out.

"It's time to go." She says now right in front of me but still sounds far away.

"Go where?"

"Through that door. It's where I'm supposed to take you."

"But I don't want to. It doesn't seem rig-"

"No! You don't want to stay here. Just come on!" She says and starts dragging me by my arm.

"No Jay-C." I say and yank my hand back.

"Okay, I can't force you. But you will regret not coming with me. It's going to really really suck." She says and runs away being swallowed by the darkness.

After she left I heard all these whispering noises. It's my mom, dad, and David. I try running away from the sound but it only got louder no matter where I ran. I drop to my knees, cover my ears, and squeeze my eyes shut.

I open them and I'm back in the hospital. My breathing is heavy and my skin is damp. There are about two nurses, one girl and one boy, and a woman doctor around my bed.

"Doctor, she's awake." I hear the man say.

"Good. I- I mean great! That's amazing! Well done."

"B-but how did we restart her heart without causing major damage to the brain o-or-" the lady stutters through her mask.

"Nurse Livia, please. It's a miracle!"

"Can we please not talk about me like I'm not here? What happened?" I say withy voice shaky and dry.

"Nurse Livia will get you some water." The doctor says and shoots a stare at the nurse.

Nurse Livia scurried off. "Your brother, Jackson, was talking to you and then all of a sudden, your passed out. He didn't know what was happening. He said that he heard you mumble a few words that weren't audible then your heart stopped. Everything's okay now, we did another IV. You're going to have to spend a week here with the conception of having however many guest you desire." The man said. "You should get some rest. Also, a visitor came, a very nice young man, said his name was Sam. He came with another young man named Chandler. They can't see you today but tomorrow awaits." He says and smiles.

A/N: phew I am very exhausted. By the way when Jackson starts fading away it was all a dream. Well another one about her (almost) going to heaven. Hope you enjoyed babes! 🍕
