Before the song yesterday i had forgotten how well Lachie sang... no brodie shut up i am over him. there is nothing there anymore

finally some piece and quiet... at that thought the door flys open to reveal callie

" GO AWAY KASSIDY" i yell throwing my pillow at her

" I WAS JUST COMING TO TELL YOU THAT DINNERS READY" She screams crying then running to mum

"BROOKE WHAT DID YOU DO!" mum yells

" i did nothing. i was just doing my home work when she throws my door open nearly breaking the hinges. she should have knocked or something not throw it open." i say walking up to her

"arg Kassidy next time knock and brooke dont yell at your sister"

"fine" we say in stereo and sit at the table

"do you EAT this brooke'' Ashley asks in a bitchy tone

"Ashley thats enough" dad says firmly

"so brooke anything happening at school?"

"only my ex-boyfriend has come to seco he is in my music class and the teacher made us sing 'I Know Where I've Been' from Hairspray together"

"which EX?" mum asked

"wow way to make me sound like a slut mum. and it was Lachie" i said whilst playing with my mash potato

"sorry came out wrong" she says making the whole room quiet. after a few minutes dad breaks the silence

"how did the song go. like did you sing it well? show him whose boss around here?"

"who do you think i am? of cause i did. he got owned out there!" i say breaking into song causing the whole table to crack up

"thats my girl" he says giving me a high-5

"BROOKE BROOKE BROOKE THE WHOLE SCHOOLS GOING ON ABOUT HOW YOU AND LACHIE HAD A DUET ITS BLOODY AWESOME" i turn around to see lucy jumping up and down screaming

"thats nice" i say heading to my locker not vaguely interested

"yeah, word is that you two have some chemistry none of us know about... is that true?" she asks obviously not sencing the lack of intrest on my behalf

"eh hes my ex..." and she cut me off.

"HE"S WHAT" she screams. first she asks a question then interupts the answer to ask another question

"if you had have let me finish i would have explained. before i came to seco i went out with lachie then i came to seco he went to some private school and a few months later, around the time i met you things ended. we didnt keep in contact or anything. i didnt know he was even coming here. then yesterday i found out he is in my music class and the teacher made us sing a duet. no biggie..." whoops

"NO BIGGIE!! BROOKE HE IS YOUR EX AND YOU SUNG A DUET!!"

"yeah so?"i ask. she goes to reply but is cut off by the bell
"see ya" i say rushing away.
