Its been mothes sinces violets come to live with but its about the same she still dosent talk but i start to see how smart she is and here i thought she was a brainelss idot. My friends come over and try and get her to talk and adventully she runs away and hides and comes out when there gone or when were outside like today
"Come on dude pass me the ball!" My two friends and i play basketball outside schools over for the summer right now so there over more often i make another shot "yes!" I shout "ugh man senji ur to good to beat!" I smirk at my friends "well if u guys practiced more u would be to" my friend jin flips me off "whatever iam going to go get a drink" he heads up to the house hiro comes over closer and grabs the ball and shoots but misses "man how do u do it" i slap him on the back "you got to have the skills for it and u lack that" i pick up the ball and shoot again when suddenly i hear violet scream my name me and hiro both look towards the house "hey wasnt that violet?" He ask i shake my head "yea ughh ill be right back" i run up and open the kitchen door and see her on the ground she has her knees pulled up to her chest and her head on her knees her arms are wrapped around them as i get closer i notice shes shaking "violet" she dosent move or say anything "violet!" I kneel besides her and touch her shoulder she jumps and i see the terrified look in her eyes "hey whats wro.." Before i can finsh asking she grabs my hand and hold it tight "hey what are u doing" i try and shake her off but then notice red marks on her arms they look like hand prints and it dawns on me that jin was just in here"violet did jin do that?" She looks at me and her eyes fill with tears "stay here ok" i stand go back outside and find jin outside hes talking to hiro i go straight up to him and smack the ball out of his hands "what the hell dude!" He says as he turns and faces me i notice scratch marks on his face "where did u get those uh jin! Why did u fucking touch her! She has bruises on her arms because of you!" I shove him and he goes off balance but only for a min "i didnt fucking touch that bitch!" Hiro stands in the middle of us "hey guys come on" i dont back down as i try and get closer to jin " yea then what happend to ur face uh?!" He falters for just a sec "i scratched myself alittle to hard thats all!" I reach over hiro and grab him by the shirt "ur a fucking liar!" Thats when i punch him he falls backwards on to the hot cement he gets up quickly and comes after me the fight lasted for maybe 5 min i look down at jin as he bleeds from his mouth "dont ever come around here again got it!" I yell over my shoulder and walk back to the house i open the door but i dont see violet in the kitchen i sigh and go to the bathroom as i open the door and flip the light on and sigh again "violet its ok i took care of it" i reach over and pull the curtain shes sitting in the tub sniffling as tears run down her face "hey its ok" she looks up at me and stops crying and stands up "senji your bleeding" her hand reaches towards my face but stops before touching "i....iam sorry" i grab her hand "its ok it dosent hurt hows ur arm?" She stares at our hands and then looks over at me "it dosent hurt" i watch as she climbs out the tub and grabs a rag and wets it in the sink then very carefully she wipes the blood off my face shes so close to me that i can see small freckles dashes across her nose and i notice how full her lips look she pulls away "your face is red do u have a fever?" She then places her hand on my forehead "what no i dont! I um...its just hot in here ok" i stand up walk out and as i near the stairs the doorbell rings i stop and head towards the door.
I open it and find hiro there "hey senji umm is violet ok?" I narrow my eyes at him "yea why?" He rubs the back of his neck "i ...um just wanted to make sure jin kinda of a jerk so" ive now hiro for a long time and know hes not a bad guy but jin on the other hand moved here a few yrs back and a few girls have said that hes layed his hands on them but i just blew that off as rumors now tho i know the truth i sigh "yea shes fine u can come in if u want" he nods his head and comes in i notice he has his hand behind his back but before i can ask him about it violet comes around the corner she pauses and looks at hiro "hey violet iam sorry about jin hes a asshole but i um here!" I watch as he holds out some flowers i look over at violet she tilts her side to the side and then her eyes flicker over to me i groan "ur suppose to take them dork" she steps forward and takes them and bows "thank you" she whispers hiro smiles brightly at her and i notice his cheeks turning pink i narrow my eyes at him. Me and hiro are in my room playing video games and violets downstairs i look over at hiro "do u like her" i ask and hiro turns to look at me "what like who?" He says i roll my eyes "who do u think stupid" he laughs "oh u mean violet haha yea i do but she dosent like me" i pause the game and turn to him "what makes u think that?" He smiles over at me "duh stupid she like you" i feel my mouth drop open "w wwhat makes u think that!" I yell he sighs "wow ur so clueless" he laughs i punch his arm " tell me why u think that" he laughs agsin and rubs his arm "its the way she looks at you dude" i try to think i mean sure ahe looks at me but i dont see how that means she likes me iam pulled out of my thoughts by the knock on my door i get up and walk over and answer and its violet shes looks up at me with those big green eyes " dinners done" she says quietly and then walks away i feel a hand on my shoulder "see dude todally likes you" i glare at my friend and go down stairs violets setting the table as we come down the stairs "bye violet! See ya senji" ryu says as ge heads to the door "see ya ryu" i yell back and then walk into the kitchen as dad comes out with a plate of food "senji help violet bring the rest out "i nod my head and over to violet "what do u want to bring out" i ask she points to the bowl of gyoza i grab it as she grabs the rice and we head to the table "so how was ur day u two?" I shrug and stuff food in my mouth "i got flowers" says violet quietly as she points to the flowers on the table "i was woundering where those came from did u pick them?" He asks as he smiles over at her she shakes her head "hiro" dad laughs "aww what a sweet boy" i narrow my eyes at her as her cheeks turn pink "there just stupid flowers he picked from the yard" i grumble "yes but its the thought that counts senji" i roll my eyes "whatever" dinner goes on and after that.
After dinner me and dad are sitting in the living room watching tv after dinner we always watch our favorite show ------------- violets in the kitchen doing dishes when the shows over my dad turns to me "senji violets going to start school with u when breaks over i know u dont like her to much but i hope that ull look after her abd help her" i stare at my dad for a moment woundering if hes pulling a prank or somthing but when he dosent say anything "are fucking kidding me she dosent talk" my dad sighs " yes and thw school is aware if that u know she will keep to her self she dose at home all iam asking is that u keep a eye on her" i stand up and walk out if the living room and stop "whatever dont expect much" and then i storm upstairs to my room i slam the door and jump on my bed and burry my head under my pillow why iam i so mad? I sigh and grab my headphones and stare at my celining.
Violet:
I jump at the sound of the door slaming and nearly drop the dish in mg hands i place it in the tray its not unusual for senji to slam his door but it is more curious that he did it on -------- day u reach into the sink pull the plug and rinse my hands off i look down at my arms abd see circler bruises from that boy today when i didnt answer his qustion he got angry and had grabed my arm i tryed to push him away but he grabed my other hand and pushed me into the wall he pushed himself agsisnt me. I shiver at the thought agsin "violet" i jump at the sudden sound of hiro voice i turn and look over at him "yes" i mumble and dart my eyes away "lets go out to the living room and talk" i nod and follow him to the living room and take a seat "violet i enrolled u in senjis school" i lift my head up and stare at hiro what me go to school! No way i feel excitement at first but then fear starts to set in and i drop my gaze "hey dont worry ok senji will be in ur class and he will look out for u but i feel that its time for u to start interacting with more pple ur age" i clench my hands on my knees "what what if he finds me" i whisper and look back up at him he scoots closer to me and pulls me into a hug "i promise no one will find you....now then how about we take u for haircut tomrrow" i smile and nod my head (ive never had a haircut before) hiro smiles down at me.
Next day:
Iam outside shooting hoops with ryu and told him how violets going to go to school with us "i bet shes scared" says ryu as i pass him the ball "what why" he shoots and makes it "think about it dude shes going to be around alote if new pple i mean shit it took months for her to actully say hello to me" i grab the ball and think "yea i guess ur right" i dribble the ball and jump to shoot " not to mention all the attention the other guys are going to give her" i flinch and the ball bounces off the rim (fuck ur right every guy going to be all over her) the sound of a car horn brings me back and i turn and see dads car i wave and move out of the way " hey ryu"he says as he gets out "hi hiro" ryu waves back and smiles i hear the door close on the otherside and violet walk around the car i stop and stare her dark brown hair is short and falls to her shoulders and she has bangs now and without hair covering her face i see that she has freckles across the bridge if her nose and full lips her eyes look like emeralds as they stare back at me "wow violet! Nice hair cut!" Yells ryu as he comes over and slaps me in the back i cough and look away from her "so violet i heard youll ve going to school with us!" I grab the ball from ryu and turn my back to them "yes" i hear her say "if u ever need anything dont be afraid to ask me ok" i turn and see her nodding her head and then she runs off into the house "she looks really cute with her hair short dont ya think" ryu smiles over at me and i throw the ball at him "your shot"
After dinner i walk downstairs to get a cup of water and see violet at the table shes writing in that journal my dad gave her when i come closer her head snaps up and her eyes shift over to me and quickly shift away i roll my eyes and head to the kitchen and fill up a glass i walk back out and take a seat next to violet "hey" she quickly closes her journal but dosent look at me "listen i know u might be nervous about school and all but dont be ill keep u safe ok" her head slowly raises and her eyes lock with mine iam tooken back when she smiles at me not her normal side smile but a full on smile and her face looks beautiful "thank you senji" i feel myself growing hot under her gaze i quuckly stand up abd turn away from her "yea no prob vi" after that i head back up stairs i lean agsisnt my close door and place my hand over my heart its beating like crazy.
