The inspiration for this story came from a conversation I had with my friends as we discussed our love of the Disney Parks. I asked the question, what would happen if we all won an all-expense paid trip to Walt Disney World and happened to be invited to an exclusive ball held at the castle? And as an added bonus, we just so happened to find dates on our many adventures at the Parks? At first, it was basically a gushy romantic teenage-angst book with no real plot but I just kept writing it. However, due to my incredible school work load and singing performances, I had to put it on the back burner... for a long time.

After finishing my latest fanfiction inspired by the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, I decided to pick this back up again. I figured this was a story that needed to be told and finish. As I reread the story, I realized I didn't like what I had written. Much like the Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction, I needed a better story plot.

Recently, I began to feel rather nostalgic. I found myself pulling out old photos of the countless times I had spent at Disney when I was a kid. In addition, I found old postcards, autograph books, soundtracks that were pumped loudly throughout the Park's uniquely themed lands and other countless souvenirs. With the arrival of Disney+, the nostalgia hit even harder. I found myself re-watching classic shows such as Recess, Doug, The Little Mermaid, Chip and Dale and so forth. I even became more intrigued with the docu-series of Imagineers along with harkening back to the ABC hit show Once Upon a Time and many other new YouTube channels such as DisneyDan, Yesterworld, Watso Videos, Defunctland and TMPVideos! But I was even more curious about the man responsible for bringing magic to all of us; Walt Disney.

Early in 2020, I went to the thrift store and ran across a book called Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark. I took a chance on this novel and gave it a read. I was hooked. This prompt me in pulling out this old story and reading through it. As I guessed, it was just a typical mushy romance story with little to go on. I wanted more adventure, danger and thrill along with the romance. I wanted to write something that not only I could enjoy telling but for you, my readers, to enjoy and relate. AND take an extensive trip down memory lane! :)

Many of my ideas remained from my original writing but I turned, once again, to music. I sought out many of my soundtracks and began to formulate a story. A few of the driving soundtracks were SpectroMagic, Fantasmic and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. I also took inspiration from Kilala Princess, Kingdom Hearts, Winx Club and Cardcaptors Sakura. With those in mind, I began to form a story. I hope you enjoy it!
