Not every magical moment has happy ending after all I guess. Any normal person would have broken a bone from the height that I fell from onto hard ground. But I am not any normal person now, am I?

Lying on my back I showed a thumb up to my distressed looking father and he let out breath relief. He shook his head in disapproval, but I just smiled and shrugged at him, as if saying 'it's not like I'm going to die'.

I stood up, dusting my pants and straightening my hoodie. I smiled and nodded once again to my father and he returned the gesture along with a little wave and glassy eyes.

I started walking to the driveway. It felt so different, walking out in the open grass as the low chirp of crickets welcomed my presence. As the cool wind soothed out my posture and filled my lungs with fresh oxygen. This was everything and more of what I thought the outside would feel like, since I had no clue of it whatsoever. Even if I had experienced that feeling when I was younger, the memories of my childhood were wiped out clean from mind by some unknown source or maybe I am just a forgetful person.

I looked left and right, taking in my surroundings as the street lights and moonlight illuminated the road. It was beautiful. The assortment of colored houses with perfectly trimmed front yards made the place look ten times prettier. But there was no one outside yet, since it was 3 in the morning. Anyone in their right minds wouldn't wake up that early. Except for those who planned to run away from their houses.

Standing in the middle of the driveway, I contemplated whether to go left or right. Then after a while I decided on going right, since it would have been the right decision to make........

Yep, I went right just because of a terrible pun. Sue me.

I walked on the pavement while admiring the scenery passing by. I wondered where I was going to go to now. Dad had given me some money, which would help me survive for a few days. Food and water could be covered by that money and then all I had to do was find a shelter. But a shelter seemed to be pointless since I had ran away from my cozy home to be free. I was going to travel every day. Discover and explore this crazy planet filled with surprises. If this single road seemed to put me in awe, then I wondered how much prettier the other places could be.

As I kept wandering about the streets, I stumbled upon a park. It was void of any children or passersby, since it was still too early in the morning, 4 am to be exact. But I assumed there would be some people who would go for a run or something. I guess not then.

I walked over to the fenced park and opened the creaky gate. There were lots of trees, with birds hidden in them singing a pleasing melody. I shrugged off my back pack and placed it near the swing pole and sat on one of the swings. I had learned what swings were since I had read a fair amount of books; I had an idea of what one does on it.

I pushed my legs making the swing move backwards and I held onto the metal chains on either side of the swing for support. It started moving back and forth slowly and a smile erupted on my lips as I started to enjoy the ride a little. I pushed my legs harder making me move further up in the air which just made my smile turn into a grin. I moved higher and higher with every push my legs forced and my grin grew wider each passing second. By the time I was horizontal on the air, I was full on laughing with the amount joy and adrenaline rushing inside of me. This was something I had never felt before, but I absolutely loved it.

I swung on the swing for a little more while, as want, for more of this feeling grew by every moment. It was just like when I fell from the window. I felt like I was flying and nothing could stop me. But the difference was that on the swing I wouldn't fall on the ground abruptly and ruin the moment.
