Michael's P.O.V.
---------I had to admit, I was a jealous freak. The first day of school and I'm already tripping her? Way to go Michael. Very smart.
I remember the look of fear and pain she showed when she glanced up at me with her pretty face.
Yes I said pretty, don't judge me. I like Sydney. She's pretty, but it's her friend and rank. She's friends with Luke Hemmings and she is a Hipster.
She hurt me from the past and I remember it clearly.
-Flashback-
"Sydney come on! It's my turn on the swing!" I stomped because the girl clearly hadn't shared.
"Go away Michael! I'm swinging right now!" She played with the bow in her hair. I remember tugging on the swing chain and she fell off the swing in a heap.
She hit the ground and a wood chip jabbed in her eye, making her scream in pain. "I hate you Michael Clifford!"
Was the last thing I heard before I was pushed into the metal bar of the swing set making everything blur and go black.
I had a black eye for 3 weeks and my eye was shut so I only had one working eye for 3 weeks.
-Flashback over-
But her words, "I hate you Michael Clifford!" Was the reason it got me angry. She shoved me into a bar.
But that's not the only reason. Luke Hemmings was in our friend group. But the day she was jabbed in the eye, Luke saw and took her side.
She took my best friend and hurt me temporarily. So I got back at her. I wanted to stop truthfully, but it just angers me when she's with him.
"Michael? Mikey! Were you listening at all?" I looked up to see Ashton waving his hand in front of my face.
"Sorry bro, just thinking about how the loser decided to skip because I tripped her." She's not a loser.
"Oh yeah! It was hilarious. She was terrified as always." I sighed and hoped he didnt think anything wrong of it. I heard him mutter something about the bathroom so right as he exited, I bolted for his phone.
I knew Luke liked Sydney. It was obvious from the start. So I went into his messages and typed,
"Do you still have feelings for her?" Good. It sounded like Ashton typed it. I hit send and waited for a response but heard a flush so I set his phone down as it was.
"Did my phone go off while I was gone bro?" He looked at me with his head tipped to the side, making his hair flop.
"Nah. Nothing at all." I shrugged, covering the lie through my teeth. Hopefully I could get Ash's phone again to see if he responded.
I hope I can get Sydney to start liking me, instead of holding her grudge.
--------
Sydney's P.O.V.
--------I woke up with a start and felt a warm presence next to me. I smelled something good and hummed at the savouring scent.
I felt his chest vibrate as he let out a low chuckle. I peeled one eyelid open to glance at him. He was smiling down at me, smirking fully as I smiled up to him.
"Good Evening." I yawned and reached over for my phone to check the time.
6:18 pm. Dang it was late and I was starved.
"Food?" I looked up at him and he chuckled, scooping me into his arms. He carried me over to the same barstool I sat on earlier and he smiled at me.
"Sorry it's not fancy. It's just chicken noodle soup." He let out a quick laugh.
I giggled along with the sound of his laugh and picked up the spoon to taste it. It was delicious and I forgot how good luke cooked.
-After-
After I was done I decided that I should head home soon and Luke frowned. "Can't you stay longer? Pleease?" He begged with his adorable puppy eyes.
"I'll think about it. It's not a definite yes, but it's a maybe." I sighed and flopped onto his large king sized bed that we were talking on.
"Why are you still friends with Ashton?" I blurted out, making Luke tense.
"Because he's my friend and I can be friends with whoever I want!" Luke snapped, anger blazing in his eyes.
"S-sorry Luke.. I-I mean.. He's mean t-to me.." I flinched at his daring tone.
"He only obeys Michael! He doesn't want to hurt you but Michael is overpowered! I'm not going to stop being his friend over some stupid shit!" Luke finally stands off of the bed and reaches forward to grab my hips tightly with his long fingers.
I wince in pain as his grip gets tighter, trying to wiggle away but he rams me into his bedroom wall. The confinement of his hips and body angrily pressed to mine makes me gasp.
He digs his finger deeper into my hips when I don't respond as fast as he wants me to, making me cry out in pain.
"Lucas! You are hurting me!" I cried out again and shoved him back as his features soften. When he realises what he's done he takes a step towards me, which makes me cower back into the wall.
I can feel the tears trailing down my cheeks at this point and I don't dare wipe them away.
Before I can make a swift move to the exit, Luke has his left hand pressed to the wall beside my head and the other wrapped around my waist.
"Syd I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you or yell! It's just.. I know Ashton's friends are cruel but he will always be my buddy. I'm so sorry for hurting you, I just-" He cut his own self off by leaning in with a swift movement and pressing his lips to mine.
His lips were warm and soft on mine and I could feel his cool lip ring on my lips. He pulled away after a while and got down to a squat.
I didn't know what he was doing till I felt his fingers tug my shirt up, and cool lips touch the now bruising area on my hips.
I gasped at the cool feeling of his lip ring and he stood back up after the mini shower of kisses. Because he could open his mouth to speak or press to me again, I was already bolting out of his room, down the stairs and out the door to my house.
