Sydney's POV
---
Waking up in the morning was all a blur. I had woken up and been laying on top of Michael which was really warm, because he was shirtless.

I'm assuming he woke up in the night to go to the bathroom and was too hot so he took his shirt off? Hmm.

I felt his grip on my waist tighten which made me let out a squeak. I didn't mean to let it slip but come on! I'm not skinny, Michael.

I heard his deep groan which made something in my chest flutter, which resulted me looking at the guy who had protected me.

He looked so perfectly defined and my gaze dropped to how big his arms were. I admired the way his tattoos looked with the way he was shirtless, which gave me shivers.

I jumped at his voice which was sudden, "Enjoying the view?" I hid my face in his side, so I couldn't see his smirk.

"We have to get up Sydney. It's 7:39 am. We have school." I sat up at that and he stretched and got up.

"You can shower in my room. I'll take the other bathroom." When he spoke those words, I couldn't help but trail my eyes on the shirt he had in last night, sprawled on the floor.

He grabbed a new pair of black skinny jeans, new boxers and a plain black t-shirt. He exited the room without any other words.

I grabbed his shirt from yesterday which smelled like cologne and mint and grabbed my jeans from the floor.

After I was showered and dressed I met Michael down in the dining area I assumed and watched him grab his backpack.

"Come on let's go. We need to grab your pack." He said and his eyes trailed on his shirt that I was wearing, a warm smile on his face.

---
After quickly going by my house we drove off to school. He parked in his usual spot and we both got out.

Before he could open his mouth to say anything or do anything I spoke up.

"I understand if you want nothing of me anymore. We can just drop that we ever spoke and I'll return your shirt tomorrow." I bit my lip and looked anywhere but Michael.

"Don't be silly. I'm not going to ever not talk to you. I bullied you in the past, but that was that. I'm over that. Protecting you is best. Keep the shirt, it looks good on you." I smiled and quick gave him a hug then trotted off for the door.

When I got inside and to my locker, Luke was nowhere to be seen. I got to my first class and sat down, the spot next to me open and Michaels back to me.

I couldn't focus at all on what the teacher was talking about. Something about a class trip to England I think? I should sign up.

The bell rang and I sighed. I got up and out the door before anyone else did.

My next period I spent the whole time talking to Michael. I hope he was right about moving on from stupid stuff. We got to know each other, till the bell rang for our lunch period.

I put my books in my locker and walked down to the cafe, going straight for food. I had grabbed a tray and sat where mine and Luke's table was, except it was empty.

I sighed and got up after forgetting about my drink. I slowly walked to the hall and looked back at the cafe to everyone.

Where was Luke.

I snapped out of my thoughts by getting slammed roughly into the wall. I cringed and felt betrayed at Michael for lying.

But when I looked over I saw a pissed off Luke pinning me to the wall with his hands resting beside my head.
