~Camille~
I walked to the dark side. I wanted to live. I wanted my family. All my friends. The people I love. Once I entered the dark side, River appeared.
"Well. If you want to live, I'll protect you. Just remember the little voice in your head. That's me." She said.
"So, before I wake up, I wanna know how you died." I said. She looked at me with pain in he eyes.
"I was only 10. I had parents. They were loving. Until they said they wanted a baby to raise, because I was getting to old. So they adopted a girl. She was a baby. They threw me on the streets. I died there. I was run over by a car, then not treated. I died slowly." She said. I ran to her and tried to hug her, but my arms went through her like air. I was puzzled.
"I'm never to be touched." She said. She started to fade.
"You won't see me until you die. But don't hope to wake up. Your brain isn't ready. Not yet." Then she was gone. I was transported to black. Just black. I couldn't see my body, or anything. But I could do anything I wanted, floating in the dark. I tried doing flips, and all that fun stuff, until it got boring. Then I had nothing.
-Shawn-
I've been beside her since she got to the hospital. Everyone has come and go, but I haven't left. I stood there, her hands in my hands. Her beautiful eyes, shut. She hasn't woken yet. It is worrying me.
"Is she gonna die?" I asked myself. I started to sing to myself. Something Big was always my favourite song I wrote.
"Something big I feel it happening, out of my control." I sang to myself. It was out of my control. I couldn't control her life. I just wish I could have saved her. That I could have told her in person that I loved her, before she hit this near-death experience. For all I know she could be dying on the spot! Tears started forming. I looked at my shoes. She wouldn't die! I know it. I slumped back in my chair, and fell into a sleep.
I woke up in my uncomfortable chair. Camille was still the same. I looked around the room, and saw Esther crying in a chair across from me. She was holding her face up with her hands. She slowly looked up. Her dark eyes landed on me.
"Hi." She said weakly.
"Hey E." I walked over to her. She jumped in my arms and started sobbing.
"Will she ever come back?" She cried out. I looked at Camille.
"Maybe. Just not today." I muttered. Then all the guys came in. And Jocelyn. She was crying and clinging to Nash.
"How's she been?" Hayes asked.
"Considering she isn't awake, I don't know." I admitted.
"We're gonna get something to eat. Want anything?" Taylor asked. I shook my head.
"I do!" Esther said and jumped out of my arms. They all left. It was just me and Camille alone again. I decided to see her family. I walked down the hall to her sister's room. I walked in and she was sitting on her bed reading. She was shot in the stomach and thigh.
"Hey, Karisma." I said. She looked up from her book.
"Hi. How's Camille?" She asked.
"Um, well she's not conscious yet. Doctors say she might slip into a coma. I doubt it though." I say. She nods.
"How you been holding up?" She asked. She looked like he really cared.
"Not very well." I admitted.
"Don't worry man, she'll be good." She smiled. I left the room and went back to Camille. I walked in and sat beside her. I grabbed her hand.
"Please don't leave me." I pleaded. I felt her pulse. It was slowing down. The beeping was getting slow. Her heart was stopping.
"SOMEONE! HELP HER! NURSE! DOCTOR!" I didn't know who to call! Some nurses came in with the electric shocker things. They pressed them against her chest.
"Sir you must leave." One nurse said while pushing me out.
"CAMILLE!" I yelled for my girlfriend. But I was pushed out the door. I sat in a chair outside.
"She could be dead." I mumbled.
"She's not." Some boy said. It was one of her brothers. The other one was walking down the hall.
"The girls are down in the cafeteria." He said.
"Yeah. Your her twin, right?" I asked. He nodded. Okay he's Crawford.
"Her heart rate was slowing." I muttered. He nodded. He sat beside me.
"But she's not dead." He said. I nodded. We just sat like that. Soon the nurses came out.
"You can go in." One said. I bustled through the door. There laid Camille. Eyes shut. I lost hope of ever seeing her brown eyes again.
"Oh my god." I said. I wanted her to be awake.
"Why can't she wake up?" I cried out.
"What if I am?" I heard my favourite voice. I ran and hugged her I swear her guts came out her mouth.
"I'm gonna die!" She said. I carefully let go, and kissed her. The best kiss I have ever had. Her hands were placed on my shoulders.
"I love you." I said.
"'Me too." She muttered.
"Uh, brother in the room." Crawford said. She started laughing.
"Hey Crawf." She said. Crawford gave a little wave. A doctor walked in a little after.
"Camille. I'm afraid there was some damage down to you nervous system. You are paralyzed from your neck down, accept your arms. You won't be able to walk, so you must use a wheelchair for a month, then the paralysis will be gone." He said.
