Together, Yoshiki and I walked out of the school building. He walked beside me, as if this was the most normal thing in the world. And...it was. It was just kinda awkward after lunch. I couldn't help but glance over to him every so often. He had his hands shoved into his pockets, and he had a faint smirk. So, in other words, he was completely normal. His light hair was slightly swaying in the breeze.

I looked away, my face immediately warming up. He caught that, laughing a little.

This was all so casual, like the previous events of me getting beat up didn't happen. Like we hadn't kissed in the classroom and joined our friends very late. They had asked what we were doing, and I said I had forgotten my lunch at home and dragged him along with me to buy one. Thankfully, they had bought it.

"Uhm... Hey, Yoshiki?" I break the silence, trying to use conversation to cool my face down. It was starting to work.

"Yeah?" He had looked away from me, keeping his eyes ahead. For a second, I stupidly thought he was angry...but then I saw that there was a road coming up ahead, so it would be wise to watch. I did notice he did look kind of sad. Did he like the silence? Ah...Hell if I know.

"Why don't you want to celebrate today? You're turning eighteen. Isn't that something to be proud about?" I ask, curiosity thick in my tone. His shoulders tensed only for a moment, but quickly relaxed. Not a question I'd like to answer, either.

"Cause' I don't want to. Okay?"

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing?"

"When I say I'm fine, I'm fine...!" He snaps. Stupid curiosity. Got him mad... I look down as we both stop to wait to cross. "Ah...sorry. Just...don't like being asked about that stuff..." He apologized. So...he was watching me? I know he would never just apologize because he thought what he said was rude. 'I'm just being honest.' He had said when class rep confronted him...

"It's fine. I wouldn't want to answer that question either." Yoshiki lifted up my face.

"Then don't ask it. Idiot." He teased. I scowled at him, but he just laughed, turning his back to me and continuing to walk without me. I always liked his teasing demeanor. I yelped and ran after him, punching him playfully.

We arrived at my house, where Yuka was running out with one of her friends. 4:45. Damn. We only had fifteen minutes.

"Onii-chan! Mom said me and Sakura-chan can go out together with her and dad!" She giggled happily, bright eyes lit with excitement. Her voice was happy.

"That's great, Yuka!" I knew why they were going out. I had asked if we could have a sort of meeting here at five. She had agreed, and told me should would get Yuka out of the house. She had carried through.

She went on and on about what they were going to do, and I wasn't really paying attention. But I got the gist of 'mall' and 'salon' and 'girls day out' and stuff. Dad was just going to be..there...I guess. All of this rushed by.

Yoshiki stayed off a little bit, out of the way as my little sister and I said our goodbyes. She hopped into the car, where her friend was waiting. My mom winked at me, before crawling into the car and driving them off. I let out a sigh of relief as they disappeared from sight, and turned back to look at the other male.

"So...now what?" He asked.

"Let's go inside?" I suggest.

"Sounds good to me." He answers, giving me a slight push from behind. I staggered, but walked towards the door, grumbling a little. He smirked. I wondered what he was thinking...
