Hi everyone, this is mondayschild_. As I am writing this, this chapter is completely brand new and is the start of the new storyline. For first time readers and re-readers, this chapter will be new to the both of you. I will admit that I am nervous to release this new version but nonetheless, I hope you guys enjoy it anyways!

Please ignore the comments as they pertain to the old storyline and has no relevancy. (I would delete them myself but there is way too many for me to delete lol. 😅 basically any comment that is older than a month has no relevancy haha)

Happy reading!

The echo of the teacher's office door closing behind him felt like a weight on Taehyung's shoulders. He sighed heavily, knowing that his homeroom teacher had likely heard about the argument he had with Jungkook at his after-school job. While it hadn't occurred on school grounds, Taehyung's teacher often took a keen interest in his well-being, given his turbulent past both at school and at home. These one-on-one consultations were not uncommon, though they were always a bit nerve-wracking for Taehyung. He wasn't well adjusted to talking about his own personal life especially his own feelings and such.

"You're finally done."

"Ah! Who the fuck-!" Taehyung jumped at the unexpected voice, turning to see Jungkook leaning casually against the wall nearby. He hadn't noticed Jungkook's absence in class earlier, foolishly assuming he'd be spared the awkwardness for the day. Clearly, fate had other plans.

Taehyung narrowed his eyes at Jungkook, refusing to engage further as he attempted to walk away. Jungkook, however, had other plans, swiftly grabbing Taehyung's hand.

"Talk about what? I'm busy right now," Taehyung retorted, attempting to shake off Jungkook's grip.

Jungkook held firm, his frustration evident. "Why are you being so stubborn?" he questioned, his grip tightening as Taehyung tried to bite his fingers.

With a yelp of pain, Jungkook released Taehyung, who stumbled backward, unaware that he was extremely close to the top of the stairs. Only Jungkook's quick reflexes prevented a potential disaster, pulling Taehyung close to him to prevent him from falling.

Their eyes met, a blush creeping across Taehyung's cheeks at their proximity. "Are you okay?" Jungkook asked softly, his voice tinged with concern. Taehyung managed a hesitant nod before pushing away from Jungkook, suddenly self-conscious.

But as he took a step, a sharp pain shot through his ankle, causing him to cry out in agony. It seemed he had twisted it during their tussle.

Jungkook sighed, realizing Taehyung was hurt after all. "Come on, let's get you to the infirmary."Guiding Taehyung to the infirmary, Jungkook noticed that the nurse wasn't in. He then settled him onto the only available bed in the small office. "Stay here, I'll see if there's anything to wrap your ankle with," he instructed before disappearing into the cabinets.

As Jungkook tended to his ankle, Taehyung couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and confusion. He went to say something when Jungkook spoke first. "You really are so stubborn, Taehyung. Don't you know the more you keep playing the busy card, the more your 'busy calendar' will be full of fibs?" Jungkook teased as he wrapped the bandage.

The other scoffed, though there was a hint of defensiveness in his tone. "What? I'm not being stubborn. Isn't it clear that I am busy? I'm not lying, and.... I just happened to get hurt."

"Taehyung. I'm not blind. You're upset with Jimin and I over a stupid kiss that doesn't even matter." Jungkook said and Taehyung stared at him, stuttering and struggling to form a good comeback before he eventually just continued his ignorance. "What? Not even true. What kiss? Oh, you mean that one? I've completely forgotten about it." He shrugged, looking away and putting his foot down after Jungkook finished tending to it.
