My eyes opened, but then closed quickly after realizing how much the light seeping in from the window gave me a pounding headache. It was one that echoed in my head, bounced from ear to ear and followed by this racing screeching noise. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. It could've been worse, at least I'm not throwing up and having a migraine. I turn and look over to Lucas, his left arm around my waist, and sleeping soundly. I gave a small smile. The way his hair covered his eyes, the way he was holding me. This moment felt special, laying next to him.

I felt his hand tensed up, and he slowly opened his eyes. He gave a foggy smile, one that was contagious so I had to smile back.

"Morning"

He closed his eyes and gave a grunt. I felt his hand grab tighter on me, as if he didn't want me to let him go. I started to think thoughts that probably weren't good. I wanted to run my hands through his hair, kiss him...but that ring on his finger told me otherwise. He was taken, he was united with someone else forever.

"How are you feeling?"

"Well, I feel a little sick"

He sat up, his eyes fully open, looking at me.

"You probably need some water"

He sat up, crawling over my frail, weak body, and made his way into the kitchen. I placed my hand on my head and felt like I was dying. At least I wasn't throwing up. He stood beside me, handing me a glass of water.

"Here is some Advil"

He placed in my other hand. I'm all for popping pills if it makes me feel better. I saw Frankie come out from the bedroom and onto the couch beside me. Lucas smiled at Frankie.

"Hey bud, that's my spot"

I smiled, petting Frankie.

"Move your feet, lose your seat"

He smiled. He walked down towards the end of the couch and sat underneath my feet.

"It's fine, I will just be down here"

I looked over to Frankie, and then was attacked by his licks. I started laughing.

"Frankie"

Lucas reached for him and picked him up.

"Stop making moves on her"

He said placing him on the floor. I started laughing.

"Someone's jealous?"

I teased. He set his arms along the couch.

"Yeah, could say that"

It fell silent. Lucas smiled at me. I felt weird so I looked away awkwardly.

"I was thinking-"

He started, then stopped. I sat up, looking at him, waiting for him to start again. So many things he could be thinking about.

"I want to tell Rachel that... I want a divorce"

"Oh my god"

Holy shit..

"I know, I know. Probably going to hell now"

"Why? She seems like a nice girl-"

"Yeah, she's nice, but we aren't happy"

"She seems pretty happy"

"Pretty happy with my wallet"

Holy shit. Holy Shit. I was shocked, loss of words. I never saw this coming. They seemed pretty happy to me. Well I don't know, I'm not some marriage professional, but they at least looked happy..
