I laid in my bed quietly as the voicemail from my phone started roaring out.

"Hey Maya, please call me back. We can talk about this. I live in England, I could easily visit you in just a few hour plane trip. We can make this work just-just please call me back." Javier's distressed voice said.

I closed my eyes tightly and sighed. I didn't want to get ready and leave today. I had everything packed in the corner of my room. I had asked a favor from a friend that I got a hold of to pick me up when I arrived in Spain.

I forced myself up to get ready so I wouldn't be late for my plane. I brushed my teeth like usual and pulled my hair up into a ponytail. I just added foundation and filled in my eyebrows naturally. I changed out of my pajamas and into a Disneyland sweater and jeans. I slid on a pair of rusty flats and poof! I was ready to go.

Yay...

Note my sarcasm.

I pushed all my suitcases into the living room. Oraya was sitting on the couch with my car keys in her hands.

"I swear if you scratch my car when I'm gone, you're dead." I muttered.

"Yeah, yeah. Aren't you going to get something to eat?" She asked.

"No, I just wanna leave." I pushed the rest of my luggage outside and into the trunk of my car. I climbed into the passenger's seat and sat still. Oraya joined me but she sat in the driver's seat. She was the one taking me to the airport since all my other friends were busy. I had already gave them my goodbyes but Cassandra was hysterical. She even tried to lock me inside her house but I managed to get ahold of her sanity and stop her.

"How is Javier doing?" She started.

"I haven't talked to him since I told him I was going to Spain. However, he has sent me dozens of voicemail saying he wants to talk." I breathed.

"Aren't you hopeless in love?" She sighed.

I laughed lightly, "Yeah, I am." I stared out the window as I took in the last scene of Los Angeles. I've grown up here all my life and now I was leaving it for good. I wasn't sure if I should've been happy or sad. Now I get to work and help people out and I get to live in Spain. I got accepted to a job that I've always wanted. Everything was falling into place but I felt like nothing was right. What if I had not went to the club that night? Should I have met Javier? No. Now I regret even continuing that conversation with him.

Oraya found parking in front of the airport. I pulled out all my luggage and found someone to help me carry them.

I stood in front of my younger sister.

"Don't forget to wash the car. Don't use the dishwasher and do it by hand. Mow the front lawn every two weeks. Feed the neighbors dog because they always forget to. Make sure to clean the house and don't leave it dirty. Don't be late for work, trust me, boss' hate it-"

She shushed me, "Maya, Maya. I get it. I'm not that young any more. Now, go before your plane leaves you."

"Alright, by Oraya, love you." I embraced her in a big hug.

"I love you more." She croaked.

We released each other and I walked away, holding my breath. I'm actually doing this, I'm actually leaving for good. The luggage man helped me take my luggage to the x-ray scanner and that when he left. I removed all medal things off of my body such as my earrings and necklace. They took all my heavy luggage inside the airplane and i only carried my purse now. When I finished that process, I went to go find my plane stop. It was Wing 17B.

As I walked through the hallway, I remembered the time I went running through the airport in search of Javier when he was leaving to Brazil. Wasn't that just mayhem. I was becoming one of those lovestruck teenagers, oh great.
