It has been a few months since I last saw Javier. The look of betrayel on his face replayed everyday in my mind. I wasn't betraying him at all. I just hugged Gio in a friendly way. We were just friends, nothing more. He hasn't contacted me since.

"Hey, Maya, can you pass me the clipboard." My friend Kylie asked me. She was another English speaking worker who worked at the foundation. She was Australian though, not American. She was beautiful to be honest. Her caramel hair, her blue eyes, tan skin, she was popular among our coworkers.

"Yeah." I replied, handing her what she asked for.

I pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. Then here I was...

Our manager came walking through the door. He was a nice man, his name was Manuel Morales.

"Ola Mayastina and Kylie." He said in a thick Spanish accent.

"Hola." We greeted him.

"Mayastina, can I talk to you outside." He opened the door.

I laid my things back on my table, nodding. I walked passed him and he closed the door. People passed us as he stood in front of me. Today seemed awfully busy inside.

"I have an offer for you," he sighed. "The Real Madrid team wants a nurse, preferably a doctor. They have asked this foundation for a doctor-"

"No, absolutely not." I stated.

"Mayastina, they will give us hundreds per week if we give you to them. It's only for a few months. Come on, this money could help this foundation buy the things we need to help the children."

"I'd love to accept but I can't."

"Why not?"

"Personal reasons." I muttered. "Why don't you pick Kylie?"

"I have faith on you to not take advantage on the players unlike Kylie who will probably distract them all..." He glanced through window where Kylie was fixing her bra.

"I'm sorry, I just can't." I started walking back to my office.

"Think about it! Do it for the children, do it for the reason you're here." He called to me.

I rolled my eyes, closing my office door behind me. Kylie was going through my box of Spanish candy.

"Everythibg fine?" She asked.

I grumbled, "Not anymore."

After work ended, I drove back home. The whole time I thought about what Manuel offered me. I wanted to do it for the children, of course I wanted to. It was just the fact that Javier joined the team, I didn't want to see him. I was done with him.

So, as of now, I officially made the decision to forget all about Javier Hernandez. He was just a phase.

I remembered when I made that clear to myself.

I smiled and grabbed my phone. I held it to my ear. "Hey Manuel, I'd like to accept your offer. Yeah, when do I start?"

A/N: These one-shot chapters will be a little shorter than my old chapters. I'm so sorry I haven't uploaded this, I was busy bickering at myself for no good reason. Sorry for any grammar mistakes like always and thanks for asking for more, it makes me really happy. We reached 7K, yay! Thanks for reading.

Until later update!
