“Nobody wants you here anyway. So why don’t you just leave?” She spits.
“Yeah, Y/N, Nobody wants you here. You don’t fit in.” He shouts.
“We don’t love you. We never have, and never will.” They all say.
I sit up, breathing deeply and wiping the cold sweat off of my face. Another nightmare. It doesn’t even make any sense. My family was always nice… They were never intentionally mean. So why do these nightmares feel so real?
‘Wait.. Where am I?’ As I open my eyes and take in my surroundings, I am definitely not in my room, or even my apartment. The room looks vastly different compared to mine. Dark walls, Dark bed sheets, messy floor and shelves, a… smell that I can’t define as good or bad.
Walking out of the room to try and find my way out of here, I notice that my shoes are gone and my clothes are changed into pajamas that aren’t mine. Now, I can start to panic.
The last thing that I remember is Taehyung pulling me off of the ledge and singing to me to calm me down. This must be his apartment then. ‘He’s way more messy than I would’ve guessed.’ I step around and over all of his clothes and trash and random items that he has strewn around his floor. Finally, reaching the door, I twist the knob and exit the room. “Hello? Taehyung?” I raise my voice so he could hear me from wherever he is.
“Tae, she’s awake!” I hear a familiar voice from a different room, that's when I realize that this is definitely not an apartment. This is a full blown house.
I start rushing toward the familiar voice to find answers. “Hello? How did I get here?” I ask as I rush around the corner, only to bump face first into someone’s chest. “Oh! I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” I apologize and bow ninety degrees.
Their hands land on my shoulders and a hearty laugh heaves from their chest. “Y/N, good morning! I’m glad to see that you’re up and running.” The man speaks happily.
I look up and tilt up my head sideways, trying to figure out where I’ve seen this man. He stands tall with chestnut brown hair. His shoulders are so broad that it’s unbelievable. His face looks like it’s been touched by an angel. This man… is stunning.
I think I’ve been staring for far too long when I notice him laugh and blush slightly, obviously flustered about my intense staring. “I-I’m sorry, Oppa.” I bow again.
“Y/N, you really don’t need to apologize to me.” He smiles down at me. “I’m Kim Seokjin, it’s nice to finally meet you.” He bows partially to me, and I to him.
“It’s nice to meet you too, but… How do you know my name? We’ve never met before.” I point out and take a step back to give some distance between us.
The beautiful man before me smiles even wider and laughs lightly, “We have met once before, but I know your name because I hear about you all the time.” He says and takes my hand gently. “I can take you to Taehyung if you’d like and he can answer your questions.”
Seokjin gently pulls me around the corner and down a long hallway with many doors on each side. The whole place looks very sterile, like a hospital, but still comfy and cozy, like a home. The doors have numbers on them. The numbers range from One, to Seven. ‘I wonder what those rooms hold..’
A sweet smell enters the air as we walk past the rooms and into a new room. It’s bright. The windows reach from the ceiling to the floor on one wall. Behind the windows, a garden is visible. It's absolutely lovely, perfect even. I can tell, now, that the smell is coming from the blooming flowers and wet grass outside. The dew graces everything outside. The leaves on the trees, all the way down to the dirt below the flowers. The sun shines brighter than I’ve ever seen it before. I get so distracted by the beauty outside that I don’t even notice the beauty inside the room I’ve just entered.
The decor of this room feels so fancy and new that all I can do is stare at it all in wonder. The furniture looks so comfortable and expensive all at the same time. The paintings on the walls of the large room are abstract and breathtaking. Even the curtains are amazing. Everything about this room, from the slightly textured ceiling, down to the light colored, hard wood floors is beautiful.
“Ah! Y/N! I’m so glad you’re awake!” I hear the familiar deep voice from yesterday speak from somewhere in the room. Taehyung comes up to me and turns me around gently in his hands, having me face him. “Did you sleep well? Did you have good dreams? Are the pajamas comfortable?” His questions don’t stop spewing from his mouth.
I have to put my hand over his mouth before I can even get a word in. “Taehyung Oppa, I’m fine. Now can we please sit down and talk for a minute? I’m very confused.” I beg with a soft voice and point to the couch behind us.
Taehyung smiles and nods his head, taking my hands in his. When we sit on the couch, he continues to hold my hands. “Before you ask any questions… Let me try to explain.”
I nod curtly and keep my eyes trained on the handsome man before me.
He takes a deep breath and looks me directly in the eyes, “I lied.”
