"and baby, i want it, and i'll just be honest 'cause i just can't front when i look at you."
the ride was silent and awkward the music being the loudest thing in the car and it was at a low volume. augustine took advantage of this time and was reading through books about fledgling, she picked the books up a long time ago ever since the demon told augustine what she might be via lizzie of course. now that her magic mattered she needed to figure out a way how to become one with her magic without feeding. although the books had nothing for augustine vampires because it was considered somewhat a new species and extinct for that matter. she put the book down hearing the radio crackling. sebastian was playing with the buttons like a child. "would you literally stop pushing my buttons." lizzie was the first to break the silence. augustine put the book in her lap and glared in the front seat. "so, she finally speaks, eh? what about you augustine, do you have something to say as well?" he questioned turning around ans she narrowed her eyes at him.
"sorry. but... modern machinery fascinates me." sebastian turned back around playing with the radio and lizzie swatted his hand away. "this gas-guzzler is older than dirt. my dad's friend gave it to me and josie for our sweet sixteen." lizzie explained her present from damon salvatore and augustine just sighed.
"we should stop for fuel then. i could also use a proper meal." sebastian told the girls and augustine looked a lizzie, she wasn't going to chase down sebastian from harming anyone, that's not what she signed up for, she wanted to find rafael. "by which you mean..." lizzie wanted him to say the right answer.
"uh, whoever else stops for fuel. yes." sebastian thought that was the right answer but it was anything but right. lizzie nodded keeping calm knowing that augustine was slowly losing her patience. "mm. you should've eaten before we left." lizzie told him.
"you know, you confound me, elizabeth and so do you, augustine. you know, when you two agreed to make me a daylight ring, i assumed it was a ruse. that you elizabeth, merely wanted to spend time together beyond the loathsome confines of your school." sebastian looked at lizzie with a smirk and augustine rolled her eyes and continued to read her book secretly agreeing with sebastian.
"well, then, you assumed wrong. the only reason that you're here is because you keep me perpetually un-jolly." lizzie told him and augustine knew that was a lie, she wished she knew lizzie's original plan because she would've tracked rafael by herself and drove there herself. "well, we both know that's not true. i'm here because you fancy me, obviously and augustine is here not to read books about herself but to stop your thought about me." sebastian turned around tapping augustine's book. augustine glared at him putting the book back in her lap, she was right.
