Chapter 3: CRNL Vs Curtis, An Electrifying Showcase

    I had woken up the next morning to a knock on my door. I yawned and walked over to the door and opened it up to see that it was Ruby at the door. “Hey Ruby whats up?” I asked as I looked to see her with a red face. “Hey are you ok, your face is red.” I said as I put my hand on her forehead but she just lowered my hand down and coughed. “Could you maybe put on some pants?” Ruby asked as I realized that I was just in my underwear. I slammed the door in embarrassment and started to put on some pants and a shirt. I opened the door with a blush on my face. “Sorry, um you were here for something?” I asked her as she coughed again and looked at me again. “You didn’t you hear the announcement?” She said as I was confused. “No I didn’t, what's going on?” I asked as she looked down the hall. “Um the fight between you and Cardin’s team is actually a huge event and they got the whole school there to watch your fight with them.” She said as I nod. “And i’m late huh.” I said as she nodded at me and I close my door and went over and grabbed my clothes and bag and put them on. I opened my door again and start walking to the arena. “Alright let's see how this goes today.” I said to myself as me and Ruby pick up our pace and start running to the arena.

    After about 5 minutes I had split off from Ruby and was walking over to the boys locker room when I was suddenly pulled into the girls and see that Pyrrha, Nora and Blake were there. “Hey guys I shouldn’t be here.” I said as they laughed and lead me through it and to the other side to the arena hallway. “No we just thought that you would rather change where they weren’t so they wouldn’t try to sabotage the fight.” Nora said as we get to the Hallway entrance and they shove me out and they wave at me as they head the other way and towards the stands. “Alright over to the arena now.” I said as I start on my way.

    After a little bit, me and Cardin’s team were in the arena waiting for the match to start I was just in disbelief. “Seriously this is not necessary to have the school here.” I said as Cardin was laughing. “Oh no this is very necessary for them to be here, so when they see me beat you they will love me and laugh at you, in fact.” He said as he signaled to his team to back up. “I’ll fight you alone as we know that you can’t fight for yourself.” Cardin says as I just sigh. “As much as I want to beat some sense into him I can’t because I made myself a promise that I wouldn’t reveal it to anyone and even now that one is broken but if I can help it I will not let my past catch up to me again.” I said to myself as I didn’t realize that Goodwich started the match until I felt Cardin's mace slam into my face sending me backwards. “Oh come on if you challenge someone then you have to be able to fight back, but if your not going to fight back then that just makes this even easier.” He says as he runs at me again. “He’s so slow but I will not fight back.” I said as I he start started to hit me more and more making me step backwards until he slammed his mace into my ribs and then grabbed my arm and threw me to the middle of the arena. I stood back up and looked at him again as he had that arrogant smile on my face. “I want to wipe that smug look off of his face.” I said as I was having a hard time holding myself back but I didn’t want to break my promise. “Fine then let's finish this if your not going to fight.” Cardin says as I looked to see that my “Aura” was running out but i made it to where the first team to be knocked unconscious is the winner. “Fine then finish it.” I said as I opened my arms and he smiles and strikes me with a lot of force to send me flying backwards. “Well time to just fall asleep.” I said as I started closing my eyes until I hear something I didn’t expect. “DON’T YOU DARE GIVE UP CURTIS!” I hear Pyrrha yell as my eyes shoot open and I see Ruby, Blake, Jaune and Pyrrha standing up and everyone looking at them. “IF YOUR HOLDING BACK FOR PERSONAL REASONS THEN WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE?!” Blake yelled at me as I was shocked. “Why do they care?” I asked as Jaune yelled next. “YOU HELPED ME WHEN I NEEDED IT SO WERE GOING TO HELP YOU, DON’T HOLD BACK ANY MORE!” He yelled as some tears were escaping my eyes. “They shouldn’t care, no one cared for me since they left my life.” I said as Ruby yelled out the loudest. “YOU KNOW WELL CURTIS THAT YOU CAN BEAT THEM JUST LET GO OF YOUR PAST MISTAKES AND FIGHT!” Ruby yells as my eyes widen then I smile. “Why did it take me so long and why did it take others to help me realize it.” I said as I looked back at Cardin to see him swinging his mace at me and I hear them scream one last time. “DO IT!” All of them yell at the same time and that was the final push I needed. “AAAAAAHHHHH!” I roared in power as my lightning exploded as it created a dust cloud. I planted my feet and slid to a stop as I had my lighting arcing around me and Cardin saw this and his eyes went wide as that was all he saw before I drove my fist up and into Cardins gut as he spit up blood. I then released my lighting to get rid of the dust cloud finally revealing my power to everyone. I hear many people gasping and whispering but the most noticeable noise was my four friends and Ren, Nora, and Velvet yelling in excitement. I then pulled my fist from Cardins gut and charged lighting into leg and threw a kick at Cardin sending him flying back into his team and it managed to drain most of his aura and his teams went down about a third. I turn to Ruby and the others as I ran over and jumped up to the stands and hugged her. “Thank you.” I said as I could feel the smile she had on her face as she hugged back. “Now get back in there and beat them.” She said as I released the hug and smiled as I dropped down to the arena again to fight team CRNL once again.

    I hit the floor and turned around to see them getting up and looking at me. “Come on we don’t have all day to wait on you.” I said as they all pulled out their weapons, Cardin still on the floor. “Come on guys let's see if I still got it.” I said as I was jumping up and down as I finally planted my feet and released more lighting around me. “Alright let's go.” I said as I charged at them not wanting to wait as I got behind the one with a green mohawk and nailed him in the back of the head sending him flying across the arena. Then the one with the spear type weapon tried to hit me but  grabbed the spear and flipped over it and then planted my feet and used my momentum to flip him over my head, slamming him into the floor. A crater forming at the impact point as dust explodes out from the hit. I fire off an electrical blast, clearing the dust as it hits the spear man. Feeling more confident in myself until I was hit in the back and sent rolling across the floor. But reacting quickly I flipped to my feet and slid to a stop. Looking up to see it was the one with the helbert sword. “Now your aura is out for sure.” he yells at me as I grin. “Yeah kind of hard to get rid of an aura when you don’t have one.” I said shocking him and a few others as I start running at him. As I reached him and cocked back my fist and he lifted his sword above him as I grin and I see the one with the green mohawk had gotten back up and was running back to us with his weapons drawn. I then slid between the first one’s legs and sprung up as he turned to see my first leg swing and he leaned down to dodge it but I then swing my other foot at him as it hit him sending him into to the ground as I charge up lighting into my fist and slam it into his gut causing his aura to deplete but not knock him unconscious. I looked to see his friend running at me as I smirk as I grab the one that I nearly knocked out by his ankle and I looked to see my friends all see what I'm about to do and they start cheering while laughing. “You know you guys are the first people I could say that I've been so mad I could hit one asshole.” I said as he was about to hit me with his weapons until I swung his friend around and him in the ribs. “With another asshole.” I said as I realised my grip on the guys ankle and sent them both into the side of the arena knocking them both unconscious. “And then there was one.” I said as I turned around as see that Cardin was finally getting up and gripping his gut.

    I was staring Cardin down as I had a small amount of lighting still arcing around me still showing that I had my power active even if to a small extent. “Man and I thought you were going to have an easy fight.” I said as I looked to see his teammates scattered around the arena. “How did you take them all out, you shouldn’t be that strong.” He said as I grinned at him. “That’s what you get for falling asleep, now let's finish this match people have things to do today.” I said as I start charging him as he tried to raise his mace but couldn’t. “What’s wrong Cardin.” I said as I get up to him and kicked his knee’s out from under him and then I ran electricity at a higher amount and started a whole combo that wasn’t only fast but hitting hard as I took out his Aura after the first few hits. I then stopped and raised my fist into the air. “This is for everyone that you bullied.” I said as I bring my hands down and slam it into him sending him down and causing a carter in the floor from the impact as I was breathing pretty heavy. The room fell silent from shock. After a moment the room suddenly exploded into cheers. “Team CRDL is unconscious the winner is Curtis.” Goodwich says as I smile at the crowd and wave.

    After a few seconds I started on my way over to Ruby and them and I was smiling until suddenly Yang dropped down and launched at me with her gauntlets catching me off guard. I activated my lighting and raised my arms and blocked the attack. “Yang what are you doing?” I asked as she continued to attack me as I was dodging her attacks. After a few seconds I grabbed her wrist on one of her attacks and flipped her over my shoulder and threw her away from me as I bounced backwards and away from her. Once I got into my fighting stance I looked at Goodwich as she was about to use one of her spells. “Goodwich don’t.” I said as she looked at me. “If she wants a fight, then i’ll give her a fight.” I said as she nods and puts up Yangs aura meter as I just take a deep breath and further release my lighting making arc around my body at a faster rate than before. “Yang I don’t know what's going on but I can give you this fight you wanted, SO GET READY!” I yelled out as my power erupted as the fight between the bombshell of beacon and me was about to begin.
