I was in class on a Friday and It was the afternoon . I was staring at the window at the flowers, the bright yellow tulips bloomed with the sun the reminded me all too well of my dad me in my overalls crouching down planting the sweet plant onto the front yard as we pricked off honeysuckles and sucked on the stems. Without a care in the world-

"MISS. RIVERA" the science teacher yelled

I bolted up

"How many squirts of water should you spray the tank with for your caterpillar"? She asked

I froze

"Um..er. I" I started to pinch my wrist of nervousness

Jahseh put his hand on my wrist " 4 times a day, 2 in the morning, 2 at night" he answered

"Thank you mr. onfroy but I believe I asked Rivera" she said rolling her eyes at me

"Thanks" i whispered as he nodded

"ok class go to the greenhouse and pick your caterpillar I will stay here and you guys may also dismiss from the green house don't Make me regret my decision" she said pointing to the door

Me and jahseh walked down the hall among the other students

"Your like really short" he said randomly

"Ya I look in the mirror every day" I said laughing

(I hate when people do this like I know I'm short damn)

When we got to the green house we had to put gloves on as jahseh carried the tank

Jahseh pov               

Mallory walked over to the garden and picked up a small fuzzy caterpillar

"This one " she said smiling

"What's so special about this one" he said

" you'll see when it turns into a butterfly" she said

I rolled my eyes

"Come on" I said pulling her in the hallway

Mallory POV

"Jahseh where are we going" I asked as he pulled my hand

He didn't reply he just kept walking

We finally meet a deep closet

He shut the door and flicked the light switch

"Jahseh- woaahhhhhh" I was cut off by the array of snacks

He covered my mouth

" you gotta be quiet I come here all the time it's the school pantry nobody ever comes in here" he said hushing me

" oh then pass me the gushers " I said lowly

"That's my favorite no" he said

" I don't give a fuck, give me them" I said

He slowly unzipped his bookbag and placed the box in his bag then zipped it up

"Nope" he said

"Fine bitch then can you hand me then foot by the foot" I said
