Five o'clock. Thomas, James and Charles were still not at the party. Everyone was getting worried. Suddenly there was a knock at the front door. George had cracked open the wine, so everyone was in a jolly mood. George got the door. It was Thomas and James.
"Sorry we're late, the traffic was awful!" Thomas moaned as they wandered in to the dining room. "What'd we miss?" Everyone looked at each other.
"Not much..." Peggy said reluctantly.

Half five. Charles was still not at the party.
"Do you think... do you..." Angelica whispered to Eliza.
"Think he's forgotten?" Eliza replied, staring deeply at Alex. Angelica nodded. "Maybe. He is a bit of a div." She said, still staring at Alex, who was chatting away to James.
"Excuse me? My boyfriend is not a div. You're the only div here, El. Alex will never want to marry you." Angelica snapped. Eliza turned round to face her.
"What's so wrong with me that he wouldn't want marry?"
"It's not you, it's him."
"You're just saying that to make me feel better." Eliza smirked.
"Okay then, don't listen to me." Angelica walked off. Eliza didn't know that he was already dating someone, and that he was bisexual.

Angelica pulled out her phone. There were no messages from Charles. Maybe Aaron knew something...
"George, I thought Aaron was coming to the party." She asked, desperate to know.
"He's coming later; he told me he was at work until five, so he should be here soon." He responded. "Are you okay? You seem a bit tense. Can I get you something to drink?"
"I'm worried about Charles. I know you're not too bothered, but I am."
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know. Doesn't he work with Aaron? Is that why you asked?"
"Yes." Angelica sighed.

Music was blaring out of the speakers in the dining room. People were dancing to the music with wine glasses in their hands. Peggy was holding three.
"Peggy, please put down a couple of glasses. Are you trying to disobey Dad?" Eliza took Peggy by the arm.
"No, but I'm allowed to get a bit tight. Tight isn't drunk, so leave off." Peggy scowled at Eliza. Eliza hadn't had any alcohol yet.
"Seriously, what is it with you guys tonight?"
"It's not us, it's you. We're all having fun and you're just going doolalley over Alex."
"For goodness sake, stop it about Alex." Eliza hissed.
"We'll it's true, but you don't know it."
"Know what?"
"Not saying. You can find out the hard way, as you're being so rude to me." Peggy laughed.
"Huh. But am I allowed to ask one thing?"
"Go ahead."
"Why was John crying earlier?" Eliza obviously hadn't forgotten. Peggy put down her glasses.
"Sure you want to know?"

The final knock at the door went at ten to six. Alex answered the door. It was Aaron.
"Well, if it isn't Aaron Burr." Alex gleamed.
"Sir!" Aaron smiled back.
"I didn't think that you would make it. Come on in." Alex led Aaron to the dining room.
"Who got drunk first?" Aaron sniggered.
"Who'd you think?" Alex knudged him.
"Mug?"
"Yep. He's had five glasses!"
"Well I'll be damned."

"Aaron!" Angelica ran over to him.
"Angelica...?" Aaron said, surprised that she was so excited to see him.
"Do you know where Charles is?"
"I haven't seen him all day. He wasn't at work."
"What...? He told me he was going in to work. Are you sure you don't know where he is?"
"Sure as sure could be." Aaron said, confused.

"Spit a verse, Burr!" Hurcules cried at Aaron.
"I'm alright, thanks." Aaron said, taken aback.
"You are the worst, Burr. Enivrez-vous avec nous."
