"John was crying because he didn't want to kiss Angelica's hand." Peggy grinned.
"Okay... so he's gay?" Eliza said, really awkwardly. She didn't really like people with different sexualities.
"Yep."
"Why are you so happy about it? What's going on that I don't know about?" Eliza was getting agitated. And then she realised. She covered her mouth, unable to speak. "Why. Why have I done this to myself. Wasted my time on a boy. You were right." Her voice was choked up. She was close to tears. Eliza left the room.
"Honestly, what is it with you guys tonight?" Peggy muttered to herself as she sipped some Malibu.
Hurcules wandered over to Peggy. He took her hand.
"You're looking wonderful tonight." He smiled.
"Thanks. You too." Peggy said, giggling in delight. She sipped some more. And more. And more. She was getting light headed. Sooner or later, she could barley walk, she was so drunk. The party was getting out of hand, fast.
Marqui was hinging on drunk. Hurcules was super drunk, along with Peggy. Eliza was sitting in a corner of the room, trying not to cry. Angelica was standing in the doorway, waiting for Charles to arrive. Thomas, James, George and Aaron were not drunk, but had a bit to drink. Alex and John were also hinging on drunk.

She took his hand, and they tripped up the stairs together. They kept giggling and smiling at each other. No one had noticed them slip out of the room. She opened the door to the bedroom. The rest is for you to figure out.

Eliza felt like the world had just turned upside down. The love of her life. Gone, in just one second. She realised that she had to stop standing on the side, waiting for things to happen. If she had only talked to him sooner, Eliza might have felt better, and not that her soul had been crushed. She ached with pain, and let tears slide down her face.
Suddenly, Eliza noticed Peggy was gone. She stood up and wiped away her tears.
"John, do you know where Peggy went? I was supposed to be keeping an eye on her but she's just disappeared." She asked John, frantically scanning the room for Peggy.
"Sorry Eliza, haven't seen her." He responded.
"Eliza, have you seen Hurcules? I can't find him anywhere." Marquis questioned Eliza.
"Sorry, I haven't. Have you seen Peggy anywhere?" Eliza replied, her heart beating ever so fast. Marquis seemed to stop. He knew where not only Hurcules had gone, but Peggy too. "Marquis?" Eliza said again.
"Elizabeth Schuyler, do not freak out, please, but I know where she is. I also know where Hurcules is."
They crept out of the dining room and slowly made their way up the stairs. They could hear it. Eliza was shocked. Not only at Peggy's desicion to disobey their father, but that she was too distracted to keep an eye on Peggy. She looked at Marquis. He looked back at her.
"I know you're not a councillor or anyone, but I just need to tell you this," Eliza began. She was ready to tell her story.
"Okay..." said Marquis, not really sure what was going on.
"I fancied Alex with all my heart. I didn't know he wouldn't want to marry me. But Angey and Peg made me find out the hard way." She started sobbing and threw her arms round Marquis' neck. His shirt got quite damp. He was so taken aback that he nearly pushed her away, but he was too kind, and just hugged her back.
Alex appeared at the bottom of the stairs. He saw Marquis and Eliza.
"What's going on?" He mouthed at Marquis.
Marquis made a 'P' and then an 'H' and then pointed to the bedroom. Alex's eyes widened and he silently gasped. Marquis then pointed at Eliza and then made a love heart and then pointed at Alex. Alex covered his face. He knew it would happen. But he was just annoyed.
"Alex? Alex?" They heard John calling for Alex. Alex waved goodbye to Marquis and raced back to the dining room before John saw the bad stuff that was happening.
