Hiro's POV

It's been a while since the defeat of VIRM, we got to experience life as normal teenagers now, no more bloodshed,no more struggle, no more resisting. Just pure life at it's best

It's been a few years since I last piloted the FranXX, I miss those times where Zero Two and I would kick some Klaxosaur asses, but it's not them who is the real foe

I grow up to be a fine young man or whatever Dr.FranXX did tell me after all this years. He said I'm not the same naive,shy little boy he sees years back but a new person reborn from the aftermath of war. Maybe everyone changes who knows?

As the morning approaches

Goro: Wakey wakey sleepyhead, I know VIRM is gone and you're our savior but you got to be more punctual you know

Hiro wakes up in a half awake state, he looks at the clock which reads 3 a.m

He punches Goro quite hard on the stomach

Goro: Oww! what was that for?!

Goro was massaging his stomach,trying to ease himself from the pain

Hiro: That's what you get try to wake me up in the dusk of day, you know I'm tired and need to get sleep before school

Goro: Jeez, I didn't mean to wake you up but today its our turn to check the site

The Squad takes turn to scout around the crater that VIRM left after the defeat

Hiro: Its our turn today? Oh I see, also sorry buddy I didn't mean to hit you like that

Hiro felt terrible at his actions towards his friend

Goro: Nah I'm fine, we've go way back right? just be ready and I'll wait outside the room

Hiro: Okay, be there soon

Hiro starts to get ready for the expedition

Goro: All set up? we're good to go then

Hiro: Lead the way mon ami

The two of them started to walk outside their household, going outside the plantation to some kind of large crater from outskirts of the city

Goro: Hiro... I got a bad feeling about this, the crater is growing huge over time

Hiro: We should report to the HQ about this, maybe this is it

Goro: What is it? what are you talking about my friend?

Hiro: Uhh, after Zero Two and I decimate the entire VIRM Colony, I got a vision which the VIRM says they might return. I'm afraid the day is coming

Goro: Oh really, I'm afraid it is true if it does happen we need to get ready to fend them again

Hiro: All of our freedom will led to nothing but a blunder
