Forget owning a penthouse or even getting to Cloud OneI won't even get a taste of Golden Delight any time soon, Agent J grumbled in his mind.

For an entire week, the unearthly being had sat on the windowsill in the mostly empty hospital room, his gaze almost always fixed on his assignment. When it wasn't, it was usually observing whatever her gaze was focused on in an attempt to figure out why the said object had captured her interest in that moment.

During his lifetime, Agent J had seen millions of humans. He had seen the old, the young, hideous, beautiful, poor, rich, joyous, depressed, fighters, those who gave up—the list goes on. He had seen them all. Or so he had thought, until he met Minkyung.

Minkyung was someone he just couldn't figure out no matter how much he observed her. She was clearly human, but there was something unearthly about her. Agent J's mind was hurting from the amount of times he had tried to figure out why she could see him even before he had allowed her to. It was a question which haunted him more than he had thought it would at first, and the fact that there was no answer was unsettling.

On top of that, Minkyung's soulless eyes bothered him. Over the week that he had observed her, she had only shown a hint of emotion once, and even that disappeared as quickly as it had come, not allowing Agent J enough time to figure out what sort of emotion it was or why she had felt it at that particular moment in time. Aside from that instance, her eyes were always an empty void of darkness which Agent J was afraid of being sucked into.

The two had barely conversed during that week, and when they had it was because Agent J had begun the conversation. Minkyung took her time, but she answered every one of his questions and gave as much detail as she could just as she had promised to. Although perhaps the reason for her obedience was due to Agent J only asking basic ice-breaker questions such as what her favourite colour was and which wild animal she would want as a pet if she could have one.

"When are you going to be discharged?" Agent J asked, breaking the silence of the hospital room.

Minkyung flipped the page of her idol magazine slowly. "I'm not sure. Soon, I presume."

Agent J nodded, hopping off of the windowsill for a stretch. As he cast his gaze around the room, the plate of food standing untouched on Minkyung's bedside table caught his attention. "Aren't you hungry?" He asked.

Briefly looking up from her magazine, Minkyung looked at the silver-haired male and then followed his gaze to the full plate beside her. It was a roast—mash potatoes, meat, a Yorkshire pudding, some greens and gravy drizzled all over it. She turned away quickly and focused on the idols on the page again. "No."

"You haven't had a proper meal this entire week," Agent J countered with a frown. "Humans need to have at least two meals a day to keep them going, and you barely have one. At this rate you won't be getting discharged any time soon."

Minkyung didn't respond.

Rolling his eyes and clicking his tongue, Agent J came over to the hospital bed and sat on the edge of it by the young woman. Snatching the magazine off of her and moving it out of her reach, Agent J gave her a look. "You need to eat."

"I don't want—"

"And I don't care," Agent J retorted, shutting her up easily.
