3rd persons POV
Nathan got home around 12 that night.
He flopped on his bed and pulled the paper out of his pocket, reading the numbers.
He pulled out his phone and dialed the numbers, it rang a few times before a voice picked up "Hello?" The familiar voice asked.
"Is this Chase?" Nathan asked.
"Yes this is him. Who's asking?" Chase replied.
"Nathan."
"Ah! Nathan! Yes that's right!"
"So...what time did you wanna meet up tomorrow?" Nathan asked.
"How's about noon? We can get lunch and get to know each other better." Chase answered.
"Ok. Where?"
"That coffee shop downtown."
"Ok, see you then." Nathan said.
"Ok, bye for now." Chase said.
"Yeah." With that, Nathan hung up. What a weird guy.
Nathan sighed and changed out of his work clothes, putting on a t shirt and a pair of shorts before climbing back into bed and falling asleep.
The morning he woke up and got ready just like the days before.
He combed his hair and put on a a blue button down shirt, pulling a light gray sweater over it. He then put on a pair of khakis and a pair of white sneakers.
He checked the time.
11:47
He should probably get going.
He grabbed his phone, wallet, and keys. He locked the door behind him.
He walked to the coffee shop and went inside. Chase wasn't there yet so he just sat and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
For 30 minutes.
For an hour.
Eventually Chase did show up.
Chase sat by him and tapped on the table to get Nathan's attention. He had been reading a book he had grabbed from a basket.
"Oh hey, Chase." He said as he closed the book and slid it off to the side. Spitefully.
"I'm super sorry I'm late, I had this thing to do that I forgot about last night when we made plans. Won't happen again, I promise."
Nathan nodded and hummed his short answer softly. "M'kay."
Chase smiled and nodded. "So! Have you ordered yet?"
"Waiting on you." He mumbles as he traced the lines on the table with his fingers
Chase's smile faltered a bit but stayed. "Ok! What would you like, I'll order for us." He offered
Nathan told him his order and chase walked away to go order for them.
After about 15 minutes he finally returned. "Sorry! The line was super long!"
'Yeah ok. The line was super long in a practically deserted coffee shop with about 5 people in it. Ok. Let's go with that story.'
'Do you want me to pretend I didn't see you talking to another guy out of the corner of my eye? Yeah I think you probably do.' He thought you himself as he scratched softly after the table.
