3rd persons POV

There was always a Person who sat at the bar.

They sat in the furthest corner.

They were there often.

They never ordered any drinks, never got up to dance, they just sat there and read a book quietly.

They didn't bother anyone and nobody bothered them.

Nathan always wondered about them, who were they? Why were they here?

One day, he got his answer.

It was a normal day for Nathan, wake up, get ready, eat breakfast, relax. Things he did everyday whether he had to work or not. This particular day he did.

It was raining that day so he pulled on his black raincoat and grabbed his black umbrella on his way out.

He walked down the street quietly, his white shoes splashing through the puddles.

There we hardly any people on the streets, rightfully so. It was not a nice day.

Once Nathan got to work it was already 5, he would work until 1 a.m.

He traded spots with the person before him, glancing over at the person every once and a while.

Almost like he was checking on them.

Tonight the they had another person with them. From what he could see, they were pretty, their short hair up in pig tails with an olive green headband on. They had on green flower earrings, they brought out their eyes nicely. They had on a light blue teenage mutant ninja turtles tank top on and a small stuffed turtle that they occasionally pushed over to the person as they read. They would boop it gently before pushing it back over to them with a smile.

Nathan smiled as he saw this, the person rarely smiled when they were alone.

The other person chewed some bubble gum that make a loud pop sound when the bubble popped.

Between 7-9 p.m. was when the bar was practically empty and Nathan was bored out of his mind.

He made his was over to them and leaned over the counter.

"Hi!!" The bubble gum person said as they waved excitedly.

Nathan smiled softly and waved back. "Hi there."

He looked over at the person who was busy reading. It was a horror novel.

The person tapped on Nathan's shoulder "excuse me mister?"

Nathan smiled and looked back over at them. "Yes?"

"They're busy."

Nathan Chuckled. "I can see that. What're they doing?"

"They're reading!"

"Why here?"

"It's dark and they like the music."

Nathan nodded and smiled. "They do play some good music, huh?"

They nodded excitedly. "I'm Finley!"

Nathan stuck out his hand. "I'm Nate."

"Hi Nate!"

"Hi Finley!"

Finley giggles and slides their turtle over to him.

Nathan looks at the turtle and smiles. "Your turtle is very cute."

"Thank you!" They said as they hugged it close.

Nathan gently booped their nose causing a giggle fit from them.

He could see the other person smiling out of the corner of his eye.

Once They had calmed down they tugged on the reading persons arm. "This is Robin!! Robin say hi to Nate!!"

Robin looked up for a moment from their book and waved. "Hi." Nathan waves back

"They likes their book more than people sometimes." Finley whispered to Nathan as she let go of Robin.

"I see that." Nathan whispered back.

Him and Finley continued talking for a bit before another bartender, Nathan's friend yelled at him to get back to work.

She was a pretty girl as well, with shoulder length blonde hair with some streaks of purple framing her face nicely. Tonight she had on a long sleeve purple dress with a white collar and a pair of black booties.

Nathan and Her had a bit of a rocky past. At one point they were a couple, until He came out and their relationship went downhill. She was mad at Nathan for a while but they eventually made up.

"Yeah, yeah I'm coming Emma!" Nathan yelled back

He waved goodbye to Robin and Finley and made his way back over to Emma.

Emma smiled and leaned in close, whispering; "look at that guy over there.." She pointed to a blonde male who was standing near the other end of the bar.

Nathan blushes for a moment before whispering back, "Holy shit.."

Emma giggled and grabbed him by the shoulders, pushing him over as best she could.

The male turned to Nathan as he was pushed over, his ocean blue eyes locking with Nathan's emerald green ones.

Nathan quickly looked away and turned to Emma, causing her to fall into him a bit.

"Hey what gives!" She whined

"H-he was looking at me.." He mumbled, avoiding eye contact with her.

"That means he likes you!"

Nathan's blush deepened more "Our eyes locked..."

Emma giggles and turned him back around, continuing to push him over before saying not so discreetly, "Go shoot your shot. You got this gay boi." With that she shoved him, causing him to stumble for a moment before turning and glaring at her.

She waved innocently. "Brat.." He mumbled before closing the gap between him and the counter which separated him and the blue eyed boy.

The boy smiled...adorable. "Hey." He said to get Nathan's attention.

Nathan shook his head for a moment before looking back at him. "Ah sorry. Hi." He replied with a smile.

Nathan gazed down at the boys outfit. He had on a blue and white stripped shirt with the words "Gue$$ Jeans U.S.A." across the front, blending in with the blue. He had the shirt loosely tucked into a pair of black jeans. 'Nice style..' Nathan thought to himself.

"My eyes are up here silly." The boy said with a chuckle.

Nathan's head snapped up to look at him, he turned away for a moment as he rubbed his face before turning back to him. "I'm really sorry...Can we start over?" He asked hopefully.

The boy nodded with another cute smile. "Of course." He held out his hand. "I'm Cody."

Nathan smiled and shook it. "I'm Nathan."
