"Sheik Siba, your help on this matter would be deeply appreciated" Father says as we all walk to the press room "I do agree with Sheik Zahir, Querem, you should not do a public appearance with all the things that have happened in the last 3 months, especially not pregnant, I believe you should do a recorded message" Siba says "Grandfather is right, if I want Jamael to respect me and accept me as their ruler, I have to face them, I have to show them that I can handle their criticism, that I am not going to back down from been the next ruler of this country, I have to do this, it is time I face the wolf" I say, both Father and Siba sigh as we arrive to the press room, the guards bow as they open the door for us.
"Rise to welcome her highness, reining Sheika Querem Siba of Jamael accompanied by his highness, Sheik Akeem Siba of Bermic, and Mr. Stefan Zahir" the royal announcer says as we enter room, Grandfather stands up, everybody gasps in horror, the eldest Sheik of the council of Jamael, and once the reining Sheik of Jamael standing to welcome the reining Sheika Siba, the bastard of his son, they truly will not let this go easily.
"Reminder to our guests, the reining Sheika must be respected at all times, anyone fails to do so, and he or she will be arrested and charger with High Treason to the throne of Jamael" the royal announcer says and the chattering stops, I release a heavy sigh, I am not a fan of this, I do not like intimidation, but I am the reigning Sheika, they have to get use to the idea now, not in five years, when I take full control of this nation.
"Silence is requested from this point forward, the reining Sheika Siba is ready to deliver her first message to the nation of Jamael, any interruptions and you are going to be escorted out of the room" the royal announcer says as I walk to the microphone, I take a deep breath "King Habib Siba under the request of my father, Mr. Stefan Zahir, has appointed me, Sheika Querem Siba as the new reigning Sheika of Jamael, in this message, I will deliver the reasons why I have been appointed to be the reining Sheika and I will end the rumors that bring nothing but mistrust to the people of Jamael" I say as I look at every single member of the Jamaelan council.
"For the past 2 months, the people of Jamael have been kept in the dark, many have taken advantage of this fact to feed lies to the people Jamael, fear has been injected to their minds, as if creating panic into the people of Jamael wasn't enough, they have questioned the integrity, reputation, and capability of the royal family, but that ends today, because I will tell you the truth, so Jamael is no longer living in darkness and unaware of everything that has been happening. I will begin by discussing the matter that I know concerns many, I am the first born of Sheik Stefan Zahir, yes, I was born out of wedlock, yes, Sheik Zahir was married to Sheika Zahir when I was conceive, in conclusion, I am what many may call as a bastard. The Jamaelan law does not allow me to inherit, because I was conceived and born outside of wedlock, the law stipulates in order of for me to inherit, as first born child, to become the reigning Sheika, I must marry into a royal family, for as the tradition points out, when I marry, I do not belong to my father and my mother no more, but I belong to my husband, fixing my state, allowing me to inherit. My husband, Sheik Akeem Siba, reining Sheik of Bermic, acknowledge in a written statement, knowing about my state when he accepted me as his bride, not only so, he willing accepted to get married with nothing offered in exchange, full filling the law requirements, allowing me to be the reining Sheika, shutting down any rumor that says that I am bringing dishonor to Jamael" I say as I look at everybody in the room, head held high, just like grandfather said.
"The children of Sheik Zahir and Sheika Zahir, every single one of the engaged in a series of illegal activities, leaving King Siba no other choice than the destitution of every single one of them as sheiks, sheikas of Jamael, members of the Jamaelan council, and members of the royal family, by the request of my father, I will not disclose the crimes committed by his children, all it matters to be known is that every single one of them received their fair punishment, and it is expected that at the end of their sentence, they will be reformed and functional members of society. Sheik Viggo Zahir is the first born of Sheik Zahir and Sheika Zahir, indeed, he has considered to be the next reining Sheik, but in the past months Sheik Viggo Zahir engage in an international crime, and as I speak, he was sentenced by both the Denurian council and the United States Government to 60 years in prison, both governments have requested for the destitution of Sheik Viggo Zahir, King Siba himself signed a petition to destitute him, and after a long talk with both my father, my grandfather, and my husband, I came to the decision of granting the petition of the Denurian government, the American government, and King Siba's request. Granting their petitions implies that Viggo Zahir violated his oath as Sheik and the law of Jamael by abused of his power and position to bring harm to others, and he cannot and will never be reigning Sheik. His crimes are unspeakable, unforgivable, and I try not bare to think what would have happened if he had become reining Sheik of Jamael, how many he would have hurt, my mind and the mind of everyone else rests in peace by knowing he can not harm anyone else. The destitution of my father and his wife does bring ache to my heart, I wished it had not happened, but it must acknowledged that both my father and his wife failed to stop their children and do what was right, and that it is something that can be simply overlooked, ignored, King Siba has decided that for their crimes, they are no longer reining Sheik and Sheika, neither members of the royal family. Jamael, as one of you, I do ask for forgiveness, and I do promise a clearer relation between the royal family and the people we have sworn to protect, to love." I say concluding my message.
