A/N - Yeah, I did say I was gonna do Super one-shots~ Just to preface, you two are already dating. Time - Offseason in-between season 2/3. Location - Philly

You laid there, on the couch, watching TV. Your boyfriend was upstairs, playing Overwatch. Surprisingly, he wasn't streaming, odd, but you didn't care.

*SLAM*

Well, you didn't care until a loud slamming noise came from upstairs, followed by a loud yelp. You sighed, must be Matthew. After making your way up the stairs, you carefully opened your bedroom door to see Matt clutching his wrist in pain. It happened to be the one he was wearing a brace for because it was already having its fair share of issues. He took off his brace, and then his wrist began to turn blue and black, it also started to swell a bit. He winced in pain, and you quickly got over to his side and grabbed his uninjured hand, then taking a look at the injured one. You looked up at his face, and his eyes turned a bit red like he was about to cry. You began rubbing his arm up and down, trying to make him feel better, then you began to speak,

"Let's get you to a hospital, that doesn't look good." He rolled his eyes as his wrist continued to become a darker black and blue,

"What makes you think that it doesn't look good huh?" Giving him a quick glare, you helped him up,

"Now isn't the time hun," After you got him up, you practically had to drag him over to the car, along the way trying not to let it get further damaged.

Once you arrived at the hospital, you took him into the emergency room, and a doctor began asking questions while examining his wrist. The doctor asked if that wrist had issues previously, and you held up the brace that Matt was wearing earlier, telling the doctor about how he already was having wrist issues. Both the doctor and Matt nodded along to your explanation, but eventually the doctor asked what had happened. Matt turned his head over to you and smiled at you with guilt. You laughed at him and the doctor looked at you two in confusion,

"Is it something I don't want to know?" You chuckled again and responded,

"No, it's nothing like that- it's just a stupid way to break your wrist." Matt made an angry face at you, and interrupted,

"My rage was valid ok!? There was a masters tank and a masters support on my team, and the enemy team was full of top 500's! COMPLETELY UNFAIR AND STUPIDD!" Matt waved around the one arm he could flail around, and the doctor stared in confusion again. You sighed, and apologized to the doctor for Matt,

"Sorry, he plays games professionally and-" the doctor smiled and shrugged,

"It's fine, I think I know how his wrist broke now." Matt face turned from anger to surprise,

"Wait what?! It's broken? I can't do my job without my wrist!" The doctor patted his shoulder,

"Maybe you need a break anyways kiddo." The doctor stood up, grabbing a cast that fit around Matt's wrist, and he began to put it on.

"It'll be a couple of weeks so get the rest you need. Nothing in there is shattered to the point of you needing surgery." He pointed at you, looking back at Matt,

"You probably need to spend more time with your girlfriend anyways." You and the doctor began laughing and Matt sat there, looking down at his feet and mumbled,

"Maybe I do..."

~~~
As you began driving home, a bit of snow began to fall on the ground. Christmas was getting closer, so the snow was nice. Matt sighed and looked out the window, then turned back to you.
"Do I really not spend enough time with you?"
"Well, I wish you could spend more time but I get it, you have a job to do." Matt nodded and continued,
"Christmas is soon so maybe I do need a break. Maybe breaking my wrist-" he holds up his wrist, looking at the cast,
"...was more of a blessing than a curse. I'm excited to spend more time with you babe." He smiled and blushed a bit before quickly turning back to the window so he could hide his face. You chuckled and smiled to yourself,
"I look forward to it too."
