A/N - This one will be multiple parts- also the POV switches and you will be notified of those POV changes. (Also Agilities fun fact- he actually needs glasses- but he recently got Lasic Eye Surgery. [This is pre-lasic eye surgery, the beginning at least.])
POV - 3rd Person Limited: Agilities (Brady)
Brady sat down at his desk, readjusting his shirt. He fixed his glasses, and looked around his room, making sure that no one would come in. Everyone was out of the house anyways- so it shouldn't matter, but he was paranoid. His computer was already on, and he opened up this little recording application that would record through his webcam. Brady moved his hair off to the side, and wiped off a bit of dirt off of his shoulder; he wanted to look presentable even though no one would be seeing this anyways. Brady decided that he was too embarrassed to rant or talk to his friends about- whatever he was feeling, so he decided that these videos would hopefully help him out. It was like a diary but in video form. He pressed the record button and began to talk to the camera, for no one except himself.
"Ahh... Where do I start-" he paused for a moment, pushing up his glasses,
"So- there's this... new teammate on our team. She just joined, and her name is (y/n). I think it's cool- I don't mind having more female representation in the Overwatch League. She plays a lot of support, but she's also good at off-tank which is pretty nice- she's really good. I digress; we haven't done any scrims with her yet and I actually don't know her very well. She gets along with everyone else nicely. Which is great; but I always feel like I can't talk to her. It's weird. I get all nervous and- I dunno. I wonder if she thinks I'm weird. Hopefully she doesn't think that... I mean- she's only been here for two days- I'm sure it's just me being shy..." he sighed and looked off into the distance for a few seconds.
"Anyways, I'm just- I- I really don't know. I mean, I hate to admit it, but- she's kinda cute. Oh man. I hope she never finds this video." He fixed an out of place hair strand.
"Well, if someone sees these I have to at least look good I guess." Brady scratched his chin, wondering if he had anything else to talk about,
"Hmm... I hope Lane doesn't steal her away with his charm too fast. Oh what am I saying- why do I care? I shouldn't care. Lane can d-date who he wants. He's definitely, definitely, cuter and more charming and more funny than I am. I'm kinda jealous of him. He always compliments me and calls me pretty or handsome or whatever- but it hurts coming from him I guess. I mean... he's probably being honest. I feel like a girl right now- getting jealous of their friend. Ahh... yeah I should stop now. I should really, really, stop. Right now. Yeah."
Brady cut off the video and saved it onto his PC. What was he going to do with it? He didn't even know.
*Knock Knock*
Brady quickly closed the application and opened up the bedroom door. It was Lane- and that new girl- of course. Lane held up a bag of food to Brady and smiled,
"Hey look, I gotcha something!" Brady took the bag from Lane and grinned back,
"Oh- thanks. I uh," he glanced at the girl who was standing beside him, and back at Lane,
"I appreciate it." Brady turned around and sat the bag of food on his desk while Lane stayed there, and stared.
Then, Lane continued to speak,
"Anyways- you busy tonight?" Brady pushed up his glasses, and thought for a moment,
"Ahh... no I don't think so."
"Oh sick we should duo or something!"
"Lane I'm not particularly in the mood." Lane's eyes became dejected, and he sighed,
"Oh. Well- I'm sure Kellex will want to play or something anyways." Lane waved and left the doorway, continuing down the hallway.
POV - 1st Person: You
Lane left me alone with... who was this again? Introduce yourself (y/n), come on. I held out my hand, and introduced myself.
"I'm (y/n) '(y/u/n)' (l/n)." He took my hand and shook it a bit, then taking his hand away again. He leaned against the doorway, and pushed his glasses up again.
"Oh- yeah. I already know your name, would be awfully unprofessional of me if I didn't know. I think." I quickly began freaking out internally, 'Oh no he's gonna think I'm unprofessional now! Shit what do I do?' He looked at me again and snapped his fingers,
"Hey, what's going on in that mind of yours?" I snapped out of it and shyly asked him for his name,
"Oh well uhm- I- I'm sorry but uh... I never caught your name. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry- I'm not normally like this I-" the man smiled and stopped me in the middle of my mumbling, he chuckled,
"It's fine, I'm a pretty forgettable character anyways. I get it. The name's Brady— 'Agilities' Girardi." Oh yeah! Agilities. How could I forget him? He's literally the League's hotshot. He's cute, he's good at the game, he has a good sense of humor, he's one part of the League's most iconic duo. Brady shifted his hair to the side, and continued,
"A-anyways, I hope the other guys have been good to you. I'm mostly referring to Lane here-" I smiled and quickly replied,
"Oh! Lane is actually really nice to me. He's been helping me settle in, and we both like the same anime!" Brady looked down at the floor, and then back at me.
"Sorry about not helping you out, I just tend to hole myself up around new people. I really- just really- need time with new people I guess. Lane's the opposite. Lucky he's here or you would've been stuck with KariV!" There was distant yelling coming from downstairs, I could tell it was KariV because of the thick Korean accent,
"I CAN HEAR YOU BRADY!" A guilty smile popped onto Brady's face, but he kept his attention on me.
"Yeah, so is there anything else you do need help with? I know a lot of fun things to do around the downtown Toronto area- and I definitely know all of the good food spots." He grinned sweetly again at me. Damn he has a beautiful smile. I quickly snapped myself out of it,
"Oh no! It's fine- I'll be fine. Though maybe the food spots will come in handy later..." Brady scratched the back of his neck,
"Ahh... well I hope you like Korean Barbecue... that's all Kariv wants to eat, and we always go out to eat together." I chuckled a bit and responded,
"Man, you guys really are the duo the Overwatch League deserves."
"That's what the fans all say. Generally we are just called- 'The Marketable Ones' though. You see- we aren't necessarily the best duo in terms of gameplay, but I don't really think that matters." I scratched my head a bit, and looked directly into his eyes. His green eyes are pretty too...
"Oh uhm. Yeah, as long as you guys and the fans like it, I don't see an issue." I shrugged, and quickly went to end the conversation- I did have things to do after all.
"Well, sorry but uh, I have to go now. It was very nice to talk to you for a bit Brady."
"You too." He shot me a quick smile, and he quickly retreated back to his room.
I swear that- yeah- he's definitely the cutest guy I've laid my eyes on.
A/N - End of part one- I'm gonna do a part of this every other part. So basically, I'm doing a normal one shot, and then one of these. (Repeat cycle) So yeah. Thanks for reading as usual.
