*beep* *beep* *beep* I lazily glance at my phone seeing it is 6:04am . I know I should get up, and eat, and shower, and get dressed. What if I just shower at night? Yeah, I'll wait. I set my alarm for 30 more minutes, the white and black background of Harry Styles blinding me. I rapidly close my eyes in order to devoid myself of the effect of the brightness. I shuffle in bed for about a second before finding a comfortable position laying on my left side with a pillow firm under my embrace.

"Why are you still sleeping?!?!"

I quickly jolt up from bed to find my mother at the end of it. I attempt to tune her out as I get out of bed and head for the restroom.

"This is your last year of high school, do you plan on being late every da..."

I close the restroom door behind me followed by muffled screaming. Oh much better. Now I can hear myself try to think, I gaze at my face in the mirror. Wiping at my basic brown eyes. Sometimes I wish I had green eyes or blue eyes, nobody ever writes a book of a girl with brown eyes.

Book... Books... Oh no! I had a book report due. This realization is quick to wake me up, as I pull my tangled curly hair into a ponytail, brush my teeth, and run back to my room to get dressed... Wait, what if I just fake a stomach bug... Would my mom believe me? If not I can just call my Dad and have him pick me up early. That way I don't have to go to class, oh yeah, Daughter Perks. Being the youngest girl I am, yes, I hate to admit it, a daddy's girl. I can count on him for everything, both of my parents, really. My mom is just more strict.

A desperate loud knock at my door interrupts my thought, followed by my mother barging in. Seriously, I don't know why she bothers knocking when she always just barges in. I quickly hold my stomach and groan.

"Mom I'm not feeling very well" I mumbled.

"You were fine a second ago" she says while raising an eyebrow at me.

"It comes as it goes, I could be dying" pardon me for being melodramatic I just really don't want to get too bad of a grade.

" okay, do you have any important classes today?"

"Nope, no important classes" I almost interrupt her. She sighs and walks away.

YES! Works like a charm...
