It had been an hour or so and Alena knew eventually she would have to come out of the hole. Removing her fears and doubts, she took a deep breath, slipping out. Noticing some objects lying around, she climbed up using them and furniture to reach the counter top to finally look out the window. It was night, so even if she did get out she wouldn't have a clue on where to go. She walked farther along the surface, noticing a picture of two children. " why would he have a picture of two kids? Human kids... even worse what happened to them?" she asked aloud mainly talking to herself.
"You realize Fay's have good hearing...similar to a cat, right?"
" I also realize now that you guys are stalkers too apparently," she said still looking at the picture, not turning around. " how long have you been standing there ?"
" Honestly it's not a big apartment." he stated while moving his hand around to exaggerate his explanation. "heard you coming out. So naturally, I had to come over." He leaned on the surface she was standing on.
Alena whipped around in response to the Fay getting closer to her body. She couldn't take it anymore. She had to change the subject " did you kill them, the kids ?! Do you keep their photo to remind you of how good it felt killing them?!" She blurted out.
" What? Do you honestly think Fays are these monstrous beings who abuse humans?" While Dollian was going on and on about humans being stereotypical creatures who jump to conclusions, Alena just crossed her arms, joining it with the typical rolling of the eyes.
She suddenly whipped her head around hearing movement coming from the wall, the exact same place she came out of earlier. " Great now this place has rats?" she said sarcastically in her head, but was also hesitant about the situation.
He was just going to continue to go on and on until she butted in, so she started to tell the first thing that came to mind. " I am not some 'stereotypical human' !! Until today, I defended Fays!" She growled " and don't" she heard the noise once more from the wall. "did you hear that ?" She asked glancing around.
" Yeah. Are you going to go check it out?" He knew exactly who it was, but wanted to see her face. Alena didn't want him to look at her for the fact that she had been crying and didn't want to look weak. She didn't look at him or show her face " fine, maybe it's a rat and it will kill me, here's hoping anyway" she walked over and hopped down towards the hole, walking in. Dollian just stood there with his arms crossed leaning up against the table. She let out a surprised gasp when she entered seeing another human. She ran up to them in excitement and worry " is he holding you captive too ?!" She said.
The girl looked at her completely confused. " What are you talking about?"
" Didn't he take you from your home?" Alena asked full of concern.
The girl stared at her for a moment in disbelief " Well, Umm hi to you too. I'm Rachel...Ummm nice to see you too, I'm here to see Dollian?" She was beyond confused by an adult running up to her all frantic.
" Wait .. you're the girl from the picture! Your here to see him ?" She peeked back out of the hole then back to her " why ?"
It was obvious the girl was beyond confused at the situation. She wasn't making sense, she was yelling, frantic, and worst of all she didn't even know her! " is that any of your business?" She looked at at the other human full of question "but if you must know because I want to talk to him." She pointed directly at the Fay outside of the hole.
" he's out there" Alena stated as she sat down in the walls sighing in defeat.
The girl walked out into full view, seeing the Fay and immediately ran towards the table. He leaned closer but did not move to help her. The girl came straight up to him clearing her throat. " Are you going to help me?" He rolled his eyes but bent down setting his hand down on the ground. He gently placed the kid on the table. Dollian then shifted to human size, landing right on the table. The girl finally came running up, giving him a hug.
Dollian seemed surprised at first with his eyes going wide, but he bent Down, returning the squeezing child's gesture.
Alena refused to get it through her head. All in all, she was stunned by how undaunted this small child was, astounded by how she wasn't phased at all by the fay but instead wanted to see him? And yet here she was, an 18-year-old girl, sitting in the walls in fear, longing to go home.
After giving her a hug the new human went from cuddly to vengeful. She hit him straight in the head. " What did you do?"
" What are you talking about?" He stood up, rubbing his head.
" The girl?"
" Oh. A big misunderstanding. I swear to you."
" Yeah I know how your "misunderstandings" go." She made air quotes with her fingers around misunderstandings. Rachel then used the furniture, climbing down to the floor. " Hey! Girl!" She was yelling towards Alena.
Alena observed from the small hole glimpsing out at them, just as she was about to retreat back inside the hole she heard the little girl shouting out to her and perked up, glancing back "yes?"
Rachel ran over to her in the hole, about running straight into her. " What are you still doing here?"
" I.. I.." she stuttered. She wasn't entirely certain on how to reply. "I may be older than you but .. I'm not exactly used to being held captive, you must understand this is all new for me, so if you wouldn't mind I feel much more comfortable inside this hole than to be out there with him," she proclaimed.
" Held captive. What are you talking about?" the girl obviously didn't feel the same way. She didn't feel in any way like a captive. She had to be deranged...or she wasn't a captive.
"Well He kinda...sorta took me from my home because I caught him robbing the shop I worked in, and I was going to call the police" she elucidated.
The girl's demeanor seemed to change and walked out. " Dollian! Come here!" she didn't seem scared of him at all. The Fay winced while shifting right on the table. He used his arms, kind of propelling his body off coming closer to her. " What are you doing!" she hit his leg.
The human adult gazed from the sidelines admiring the minor's confidence. She remained still gawking at her action towards the colossal Fay.
" Why? Why did you need her exactly? I know I haven't been around as much, but come on us humans have to be with other humans!"
Dollian crouched down scratching the back of his neck. It seemed like he was ashamed. " With what I do Rachel I couldn't take the chance of her going to the police."
" So this is your solution! Dollian you're not like most Fay. Why act like one?" Dollian remained silent. "You're a jerk, but you're crossing the line...but I can't really go against you now can I?"She looked over towards Alena." Come on. I know from experience humans need some time away from Fay."She gave a look towards the Dollian.
Alena couldn't help herself from letting a little laugh escape her lips which had been sealed shut. Thank God someone was getting through to him! She let out a sigh of relief and approached the girl "thanks" she whispered. The little girl grabbed the women's hand. She didn't lead her to the hole in the wall. She ran across the floor out of the room. Since Alena was brought to this apartment, she hasn't been outside the area of his dining room/kitchen. She ran through what Alena would assume to as a living room then she went to the side of the wall. She ducked down through a hole and came out the other side in a room. The room was Fay sized, but there were human-sized objects inside. There were two of everything and somethings seemed to be made for a male instead of a female. " Is one of these rooms yours?" she asked queried
