Chapter 12

Today was kinda good but of course it was boring, and I feel like there's something off about Ko, like he's hiding something from me.

I know we're enemies and of course we hide a lot of things from each other, but I feel like this is different.

Ever since he came back from the lunch break, I felt like he's been avoiding talking to me.

Right now I'm stuck in detention with him, we sat in different tables but close to each other since the teacher said so, and there's no one else here except for us.

I let out a deep sigh out of boredom, "I'm bored", I said.

"Same", Ko simply said.

"No talking in detention", the teacher said, it was the same teacher from yesterday.

Minutes later he stood up, "I need to get some papers done, you two better not escape again", the teacher said before he leaves.

Is he seriously gonna leave us like the last time?

I then stood up from my seat and started walking.

"Don't tell me you're going to escape again!", Ko said as he frowned.

"Relax handsome, I'm just gonna turn off the air conditioner, I feel cold", I said as I turned it off.

I then sat back down in my place, "so what are you up to today?", I asked, trying to make a conversation.

"Oh uhh...not much, just working in the bodega with Rad and Enid", he said.

Isn't he gonna ask me what am I up to?

"Cool", I simply said.

"So...what about you?", he finally asked.

"Might give you a visit", I said.

Ko looked at me confused. "Why would you..?", he asked as I smirked at him, realizing what I mean, "ooh!"

I chuckled at him, Ko might be a little dumb, but he's cute.

After that, there was silence between us, and I don't feel like it's chill silence, more like an awkward silence.

I wanted to cut this silence, but I didn't know how, all I feel is coldness.

I hugged myself to warm myself a little, "man, i-is it me or it's so cold here?", I said, and I could literally see my own breath.

"What do you mean?", Ko asked with a confused expression on his face.

I started shaking, feeling really cold, like I'm in a large fridge, I feel like my body is freezing.

I stood up from my place, "Y/n? Are you okay?", Ko asked in worry.

"N-No.., I-I don't f-feel...o-okay.."

Y/n suddenly stood up from her seat, shivering. "Y/n? Are you okay?", I asked in worry.

"N-No.., I-I don't f-feel...o-okay..", Y/n answered, and I think I just saw her breath?

Suddenly, she fell down on the ground. "Y/n!", I yelled as I rushed to her.

I pulled her in my arms, and she's so cold!
