A cat with boxy glasses marks watched two boys box on a fresh cut lawn. A rather tall girl with shoulder length blonde hair cheered them on.
"Oui frère! Tu peux le vaincre!" She shouted. The boy with hair much like her grunted. The smaller boy took the brief pause to kick the blonde's face.
"Va te faire foutre! Faites preuve d'humilité!"
"Suivez vos propres conseils!" Responded the boy with a quick two punches to the head. "Qui vous a appris la savate?!"
"N'insulte jamais mon père!"
The girl pulled out her wand and sent a stunner at the smaller boy. He shot her an incredulous look.
"Woah, stop the light show." His voice had a light British accent and sounded almost too melodious.
"Laissez Blackie. Vous n'êtes plus les bienvenus."
The cat was surprised when another cat dropped out of a tree. This cat had bright yellow eyes and was entirely black. She, the first cat just knew it was a she, scratched at the girl's fresh white dress.
"Ma gratitude Noir." The small boy said. A black snake slithered from the grass to around the boy's neck. "Toi aussi Obsidienne." The boy then narrowed his eyes and hissed at the children before walking away, both cats following close behind. He stopped at a large tree with a trunk under it. The trunk was of a dark wood with a flat top. He opened it and pulled out a water bottle and a rag. Quickly wiping his forehead, the cat saw a lightning symbol scar. This boy was definitely who she was looking for. With the cracking of bones she shifted into an elegant woman.
"Mister Potter-Black, and I assume you know English, I am a representative of Hogwarts."
The boy looked around.
"Are you talking to me? I'm afraid I don't know of a Potter-Black. Although the Black line is rather large."
"You are Potter-Black, though how you don't know your own name is preposterous. Now, as I wa-"
"I'm only Blackie mademoiselle. So how may I be of assistance?"
"Mister Potter-Black, if you will let me finish! I was going to say, 'seeing as you seemed so unconcerned about that girl's show of magic, you must know of the magical world."
"I know of it. I just figured I was a mauvais placement."
"Pardon?"
"Someone born into a magical family without magic."
"A squib, Mister Potter-Black? However did you draw that conclusion?"
"I've heard the tale. My family left me out and refused to pay ransom to get me back. Learned about the magical world when I was first here in France, maybe when I was eight? I was told it was a common practice in England."
The woman looked slightly distressed.
"Ah, well, I am Minerva McGonagall, the deputy headmistress, and I will be taking you shopping for your supplies. Normally the each member of the staff would take four or five kids, but you were so far out that I made a special case. Shall we go?"
"Oui."
She grabbed his hand and the trunk and apperated to the Leaky Cauldron, London. 'Blackie' looked around appreciatively.
"I haven't been in London since I was nine and three quarters. It always seemed nice though."
"Oddly specific, that number. You see, that is the platform at King's Cross station that is used to get to Hogwarts."
"What, do you walk in the barrier between nine and ten?"
"Exactly."
Hadrian rolled his eyes. The professor stopped again, briefly.
"I should tell you before we go in. Your name is Hadrian Regulus Potter-Black, and you are rather, unpopular. You are known as the boy-who-died. I'll get you some things on it. Just keep your head low and do not let people see your scar."
They walked straight through the bar to a back room with a brick wall that opened into Diagon Alley. Why they didn't just apperate there was beyond Blackie though.<><><><>
I have decided that for this book, I will put my thoughts that relate to the chapter at the end. Anything important will be bolded. For the French parts, there is nothing really important being said. I just typed what I wanted into google translate so I only really remember the summery of what they are saying because I don't speak French! Fun...
