After getting Dasha back from the hospital claiming she was fine the two insisted her to rest but did she listen? No.
It was the skating champions, Violet and Justin had just finished their tango routine and are now just waiting for the judges score. Getting off the ice the both of them gave Dasha a hug.
"That was a clean skate" Violet said. Dasha said how good they were on the ice.
"Good"? That was great! Did you see Vee's triple and quad jumps?"All three of them were over the moon that all their hard work had paid off from months of practicing."I mean I even think we can get fourth or even third. I'm gonna go wait for the results. Meet you at the kiss and cry." Violet gave Justin a quick peak and then went on her way.
Dasha gave him a look. "Careful it's slippery here" Justin said while pointing to the floor. Dasha reassured him that it was just because of her low blood pressure that caused her to pass out. At the kiss and cry the announcer came over the PA "After the short program, Davis and Pierce have a total of 47.23 points which puts them in 7th place."
"7th?!" Violet said, she then just took off and was walking towards the lobby. As she walking Justin tried to catch up with her. "This is a disaster" she exclaimed.
J: Kat?
V: Even if we skate our long program perfectly, that would only put us in 5th. 5th means no sectionals. Fifth means we are done for the season.
J: It's ok Vee, Dasha said we'd be at Nationals in 2 years, not one. We're still on track.
Violets heart rate was picking up without her realization along with her pace that Justin could barely keep up with in skates.
V: I knew Leah and Gabe would come first, but Andrew and Chelsea placed above us? We are hands down better skaters than everyone else out there!
J: You're right we are better skaters, most of them have been together longer than we have and their programs are...
V: More difficult (She sighed)
J: So many people have taken years to get to where we are in, like 3 months. Next year is our time.
V: You won regionals last year with Natalie. You don't do 7th please and neither do I.
Trying to calm her down Justin walked closer to her and put his arms around her waist. Giving her a kiss.
J: It's gonna be all right. I'd better get Dasha home. She's worried about driving after her fall. Just don't beat yourself up ok? It's gonna be alright.
After leaving the rink. Violet couldn't stop thinking about how many different ways she can change the program. She was sitting on the floor of outside of Justin's room. She was overthinking and analyzing about everything and not just about skating about herself, relationship with Justin, her mom even and was gonna continue until she saw Justin appear down the hallway.
"Hey you" she said Justin was eyes widened to why she was here. Not that he cared, but he would think she would be just as tired as him. Something was up but he didn't want to ask until he knew for sure. "I know how we can at least try to get 2nd place into regionals". She then goes on to explaining that she could change the program all together.
J: You do realize we are 2 days away from the program and you want to change it.
V: Yeah, so I know you can pull off all of those moves I'm holding you back.
J: Are you gonna be the one to tell Dasha or me?
V: I think she would be fine with it. I mean come on it's not like she doesn't expect me to advance.
