Vanguard of the fallen angel

Episode 2

"Hi guys!" I walked Into the store and was greeted my smiles. Misaki was with Aichi and Kamui, and Kai was card-fighting Miwa - and winning from the look on Miwa's face.

"Hey Riley!" Kamui hopped out of his spot and rushed towards me, pushing me from behind.

"Hey-!"

"Glad you could make It!Now you can take my spot!" Misaki pulled Kamui with her by the ear. 

"Your not getting away with It this time! You've been caught red handed!"

"Ah! Let me go!I have a date!"

"Never mind your date! It's all In your head anyway!"

"Is not - Ow!"

Aichi and I watched as she pulled him Into the back with her. I turned to Aichi. 

"What's going on? What date?" He laughed awkwardly, sweat dripping and scratched the back of his head. Miwa laughed.

"Their's been someone buying all the booster packs for Kamui's clan, and we found out It was him. And as for the date thing, I think It's just In his head." Kamui's two friends nodded In agreement.

"Ah."

-"Yeah, yo."

-"Yeah, yo." Aichi and I laughed nervously together. We turned to Shin who clapped his hands with a smile.

"Okay everyone! Time to make groups of three! "

"What's going on?" Kamui and Misaki came from behind and joined us. 

"Good question."

"We're going to have some fun by hosting a mini tournament right here at card capital!" I gulped and winced.

"Good Idea Shin."

"You do have some great idea's some times!"

"I always get great Ideas!"

And So, we made groups of three and battled as a team against other teams. The people that were actually part of team Q4 were going to be a team and fighting a different battles. So It was me, Aichi, Kamui, Misaki, and Kai.  In the end It was a lot of fun, and the lesser players were easier to beat, at least Until we reached the semi finals where things got more heated. I was standing next to Aichi's team with mine In front of the crowd, waiting for Shin's announcement.

"Our next battle, will be Riley against Miwa!" I took a deep breath and shook Miwa's hand with some small talk before we headed over to the table. I was too Shy to do any of the smack talk he was, I was sure I could hold my own though. We were doing the battle one by one, per tournament rules we were going to retry. 

"I'm not going to loos!" he smirked.

"Me neither!"

-"Stand up, vanguard!"

-"Stand up, Vanguard!"

"Frost queen!"

"Bullet raiser!"

 Our monsters appeared, and Miwa drew his card. I began strategizing and predicting what will happen next. He threw down a card.

"Another Bullet raiser!" I winced, 'that was not what I was expecting!' Misaki spoke from the side lines, though I wasn't paying much attention.

"This Is not her card-fight. For some reason she always has a lot of trouble with Miwa."

"He's no push over." Kai mumbled from his seat. He was watching very intently. 

~A few turns later~

I sighed In defeat as we collected our cards from the table. Miwa came over and gave me a pat on the back with a grin. 

"Cheer up, you may have lost but you still did pretty well!" I became flustered. 'Too close!' Is all I could think until he backed of. 

"You doing okay?"

"Yes. Sorry about that." he blinked and got closer. He smiled. 

"No problem, lets have a great match."

 Misaki sighed and Kai simply shifted past me. He shot me a side glare. He looked pretty annoyed and I got out of the way.

"Well? It's my turn."

"Oh, yeah..Sorry Kai." and I left for my team. I bowed In apology.

"Sorry. I gave it my best."

"It's okay, I know."

Shin made the announcement for the second battle to begin- Kai v.s. Aichi. Aichi won. Which was still a shock to me, because from where I was standing I was sure Kai would win.  I shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. I congratulated him In Kai's stead and he seemed to appreciate It. From a ways behind us, Misaki and Kai were holding a conversation of their own. We turned to Shin when we heard the screeching of the microphone.

"Okay everyone, lets take a break for lunch!" Kamui Sighed In relief and we laughed.

"Come'on." Misaki took him by the ear again, and he shouted In protest.

"I need my Emi!" Aichi blinked as we look on at them.

"Did he just say, my Emi?"

"I think he did." Aichi turned to me.

"Why do you think he'd want to by so many cards In the first place?"

"Maybe he thought the more cards the better?" Miwa chimed In. 

"That does sound like him." Kamui was pushed back out by Misaki, who then closed the door behind him. We blinked as he banged on the door shouting. Misaki opened It and pulled him back Inside.

"What the heck Is going on? My disciple shouldn't be so wired!"Miwa smirked teasingly at Moricawa.

"Maybe he gets It from his master.." 

"Moricawa, It's Weird."

"What Is?"

"Never mind.." Miwa laughed. Suddenly I was pulled by the arm. I gasped lightly and looked up to see Kai hushing me with his finger.

"Com'on."
