Erwin's P.O.V

The ground, covered with bodies of the dead, the trees leaves are no longer their deep shade of green, but instead red from all the blood that has been dropped.

I try to make it to the walls as fast as I can on my horse. I sent a signal flare to alert everyone still alive to retreat, if anyone is still alive that it.

As I'm only a few hundred of meters away from the wall I suddenly hear a scream, a woman's scream, from a voice I know too well.

My beloved (Y/n)

I immediately turn my horse away from the direction of the walls and towards (Y/n)'s scream

Once I make it there I see (Y/n)'s body on the floor, almost lifeless. Blood is surrounding her. And above her is a Titan smiling down on her

"Erwin..." (Y/n) calls out to me softly.

"(Y/N)!" I try to move myself but I'm remain frozen. No matter what I do I cannot move.

"Erwin" (Y/n) calls out louder this time as the titan reached out and grabbed her

"(Y/N)! PLEASE NO!" I still try to move but it was no avail. I begged that a miracle would happen and she will be saved.

But deep in my heart I know that this isn't a story with a happy ending. It's real life, and in real life no one has a happy ending.

"Erwin!" (Y/n) yells at me as the titan is bringing her closer to it's mouth, I see in her eyes that she is begging for me to save her, but I can't, I can't save her.

"Erwin!" (Y/n) yells as she's being placed in the titans mouth. She reaches out to me but is stopped by the titan after it closes it's mouth, and swallowing her.

After (Y/n) has been swallowed im able to move again. I fall off my horse and onto the ground.

"Why?WHY?WHY!?" I scream as I bang my fists against the ground.

Tears begin to fall into my hands and onto the ground.

"Why couldn't I save her?! Why did she have to die?! Why?!"

The titan started slowly walking towards to, but I don't move, and I won't fight for my life, I just closed my eyes and will accept my fate

What was the point? My love is gone, everyone in the corps is mostly likely dead as well....so what's the point?

"Erwin!" I open my eyes when I hear (Y/n)'s voice again.

'is she still alive? No... That can't be, am I hearing things?'

I was so caught up with my thoughts that I didn't realize the titan already grabbed me and was about to eat me.

'that doesn't matter tho. Because I'm about to see my (Y/n) again'

"Erwin!" (Y/n)'s voice barely makes it to my ears as I'm about to be swallowed.

Soon my vision starts to become blurry...and dark. Just as the titan was about to close it's mouth I heard her voice again

"Erwin!"

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

"Erwin!" I yell his name as I shake his shoulders in hopes to wake him up

After a few minutes of yelling and shaking Erwin's eyes opened wide and quickly clung himself to me as if his life depended on it.

"(Y-Y/n)?" Erwin asks softly as his head laid on my chest

"Yes Erwin?" I ask softly petting his hair.

"Please don't leave me!" He says as he hugs me tighter

"I'm got going anywhere Erwin" I reassure him.

I know what happened. Nightmares, this isn't the first time this happened. He'd have nightmares every now and then about me being killed, every time Erwin would have those nightmares he'd cling to me and keep me in his embrace, even when we both are asleep, and won't let me go until morning, and even then sometimes he's to scared to let me go so we'd spend an hour or two in bed in each other's arms.

"I-i can't lose you (Y/n)... I love you" Erwin says. I can hear in his voice that he is about to cry.

"Erwin look at me" I say as I move his head up so he is looking at me.

He stares into my eyes as I stare into his, I can see sadness in his eyes and I see tears threatening to spill.

I softly kiss his forehead

"I'm right here Erwin, I won't be going anywhere anytime soon I promise"

Some tears are falling down his cheeks and I wipe them away while giving him a reassuring smile that said 'i promise'

I stayed up a few more minutes with him until he finally calmed down. Erwin then lifted himself from my chest to my head. He kissed my forehead softly before closing his eyes, still holding me close to him, I smile softly before falling back to sleep
