San Francisco, California
"Good morning Mr. Lee.""Good morning Mrs. white."
"So I called you to meet me because we have a new project coming up. The company wants you to model for Gucci with one of their top models."
"Okay that's fine. Who's the model?"
"I'm not sure. They didn't give me his name, but don't worry, he's probably handsome."
"Omg Mrs. white!"
Taeyong turned beet red and covered his face with his hands. Mrs. white just started laughing.
"Alright I'll stop bothering. How about we go eat some breakfast and then we can go finish shooting the finals clips for your new song. After that you have the rest of the day off."
After eating breakfast, Taeyong and Mrs. white went to the entertainment building. Which was where taeyong would be recording the final clips for his new music video.
Once inside the building Taeyong went to his room and there he got changed and his hair and make up was done. Once inside the recoding room taeyong was giving a queue from where to start and what they would be recording.
After three hours, taeyong was done recording. He said goodbye to all of his coworkers and headed back to his room. There he changed again and his make up was removed. When he was ready he grabbed his things and headed out of the building.
He got inside the car that was waiting outside for him.
"Can we go to a Starbucks? I want some iced coffee."
"Sure. Just wear your face mask and-
"Hoodie. Yes I know."
"I'm just saying. Remember that one fan that almost tried to hurt you?"
"Yes I remember. I was honestly very scared."
"Yes and your safety is our priority."
"Yes. I know thank you for that."
Once in front of a Starbucks, taeyong got off the car along with two bodyguards. He pulled his face mask up and he immediately started hearing muttering and felt the stares from the people around the place.
He also noticed shy waves from some girls and he waved back at them and smiled even though they wouldn't be able to see it because of his mask.
He walked inside the Starbucks and the strong smell of coffee hit him. He subconsciously smiled to himself. The smell of coffee never failed to make him feel calm and normal.
Some people offered to let him go to the front of the line, but he didn't want to take advantage of anyone. He felt as if he shouldn't be treated differently because of his social status or anything like that, so he politely declined their offers and waited until it was his turn to order.
Once at the front of the line he settled for an iced brûlée latte and a regular coffee for Mrs. white. He offered his bodyguards to buy them something, but they just stared back at him. He pouted because he thought they were being meanies, so they settled for a cup of water. Taeyong was not too sure at first, but he asked for the waters anyway.
Once his order was ready he happily walked up to the employee and thanked her for the things. She smiled and called him cute. Once he had the things he happily, but carefully walked up to his bodyguards and handed them their waters. They walked towards the car and once inside he handed Mrs. white her coffee.
"Thank you for the coffee you really didn't have to."
"I know, but I really wanted to. You do so much for me and I really appreciate you for that."
"Aww thanks taeyong. You're a sweetheart. Whoever marries you is going to be extremely lucky."
Taeyong got flustered at Mrs. white comment. She smiled at him and he smiled back. Mrs. white was someone he really appreciated. She helped him when he had first arrived at the states, back then he didn't know a drop of English and he found it very difficult to communicate. Mrs. white was the mother he never had.
Once at his house taeyong got off the car and said his goodbye to Mrs. white. His bodyguards walked him to his door and once inside he locked his door. He stood there and he let out a huge breath he didn't even know he was holding in.
He walked to his bedroom and fell down on his bed. He looked up at his ceiling and he felt numb. He didn't feel tire, but he didn't feel energized either. He felt something wet go down his face and he reached out to see what it was. It was a tear.
Taeyong smiled bitterly, he hadn't cried in a while. He had forgotten how long it had been two? Three years maybe? It was definitely more than that. He was tired of crying and he had promised himself he wouldn't do it again.
The last time he recalls crying was at his mothers funeral.
A lot had happened in taeyong's life for the past three years. From his migration to the US to his break-up with his ex-boyfriend to finally becoming a global star, model, and actor.
During the day he was a cute and happy guy, but at night when he was alone he felt numb. He felt as if he could die and no one would care. He was tired of everything and everyone.
