I was about to go to sleep but a loud noise from downstairs made me jump out of my skin. I hurriedly went to check and saw Alex was dragging a man inside the house.
My eyes widened with surprise. Noticing me, she simply said,
"Hey"
I awkwardly smiled and asked,
"Who is he?"
She didn’t answer just went to her room and brought a rope. She quickly tied the stranger tightly to the chair. And then prick his finger with a knife. I was dumbfounded. What was she doing? She even threw some salt and water on his face. I just stood there not knowing what to do.
When finally she was done with all her weird stuff, she turned to me and explained,
"I found him outside lurking around"
"Is he a monster?", I whispered.
"Nope. Just a regular human"
She slapped the guy to wake him up. Getting his sense back, the guy noticed us and widened his eyes.
"Who are you?", Alex asked in a cold tone.
"I...I..", he fumbled with words.
"Lie and nobody will find your dead body", Alex threatened. Wow....Alex was intimidating.
The guy burst into tears. It was an ugly cry which caught us off guard.
When his weeping lessened, he began to talk,
"I didn’t mean it"
"What?"
"I didn’t mean to look, I swear. I just...I won't ever do it. I promise, please-- please, let me go"
I couldn’t believe my ears. This—this guy was peeping on us. Disgusting!
Alex punched him in the face and he yelped with pain. Alex asked,
"What's your name?"
"Tom", he sobbed.
"Meaningful name you have there. Peeping Tom", Alex scoffed before adding,
"You know this is the sheriff's house. You still dared -- Tell me your last name?"
