I woke up from my peaceful slumber feeling a little strange

I woke up from my peaceful slumber feeling a little strange. Without opening my eyes, I reached for the pillow to snuggle back to sleep. After a few seconds of tossing and turning, I realised the sudden increased warmth in the room was to blame for my discomfort.

Groaning I opened my eyes and noticed the ceiling fan was off. Tossing the comforter aside, I got down from the bed groggily only to greet by my father's smirking face. Pointing a finger at him I yelled,

"You switched off the fan"

"It saved my energy. Only took three minutes to wake you up", giving me a smug look, he walked away.

It took my everything not to stomp my foot or start shouting in frustration. But seeing there's nothing I could do, I headed for the bathroom to freshen up.

"Good morning", Sam chirped as soon as I entered the kitchen.

I grunted taking a seat in front of him.

"Oo...someone's a lil grumpy", he said not taking his eyes off the laptop.

Dean placed a plate full of scrambled eggs on the table. Without any delay, I shoved a spoonful in my mouth.

"I told you not to do that. See, now we have to deal with a grumpy teenager all day", Sam accused his brother.

"It was fun", Dean's mouth turned up in a shameless grin.

I crossed my arms and said, "I hate you"

"I love you too, daughter of mine"

Ignoring his satisfied smirk, I asked, "Where's Jack?"

"I gave him his mother's thumb-drive. He's watching it", Sam replied.

Oh....I guess it would give him some closure to his mother. Suddenly I was jealous of the nephilim. He had something which I never could have. I forced that thought out of my head and asked,

"Any case to solve?"

"Yes but Jody'll handle it", Dean answered.

I nodded standing up and put the dirty dish in the sink. I was about to go back into my room but Sam stopped me saying they had something important to discuss. I tensed up wondering what it was about.

After sharing a look with his brother, Sam said,

"A normal school without any of us around can be dangerous for you. So...Dean and I decided it would be best to get homeschooled."
