There was blood everywhere elite grunts and jackal's were laying everywhere and Marines and odsts like myself were scanning the battlefield looking for survivors and brother's a crash startled me and I shakenly looked over at the warthog laying on it's side and walked cautiously to see a odst laying under the bent turret of a mounted antiaircraft turret as I reached out offering him my hand he took it and said you're going to need to get a spartan to push this hog off me so I can crawl out.I call over lotus the biggest Spartan on the field and we pull the odst out and I temporarily patch him up the best I can and we drag him back to a pelican and get him to a infirmary aboard the unsc Spartan's pride

Timeskip
Four year's later aboard the unsc halcyon class destroyer staff of Charon we're putting you in another team Emile your last one is all but gone and you are slowly losing your touch your combat scores are unsatisfactory so we are assigning you to another team you have one last mission left with this team so make e'm count and your dismissed I went to my barracks and locked the door laying there with my magnum in my hand I reached over and put it on my bedside table and took a nap I woke to the sound of a loud thud outside and I opened the door to see two Marines fighting and I hear the fleet master shout stop! As i walk over to him and explain what's going on he tells the two Marines he wants to see him on the bridge immediately
And that I need to armor up he has one last mission for this team and then he's moving me to another I armored up and met my team by the pods and we said our speech knowing it could very well be our last drop and we entered our pods and I heard my pressure seal close and lock into place and I felt a jolt as the pod detached and rocketed to the planets surface we fell for a few minutes and entered the planet's atmosphere our shoots popped and we hit the ground with a thud we  exited with guns drawn and looked around in time to see two Spartans materialize in our visor active camo sure works wonders we shouldered our smgs and assault rifles and I asked the Spartans what they were doing there and the one nearest to me c16 according to her breast plate popped her helmet off and her long blonde hair cascaded to her shoulders said that they were here to get hostages from the covenant and we would be accompanying them until they retrieved them the other Spartan popped his helmet of and smiling said long time no see brother I walked over to him and wrapped wrapped my muscular arms around his mjolnir armor and gave him a high five
That's my brother cal so named for the 50 cal hanging off his hip and the belt of ammo on his shoulder he smiled and asked me how I had been doin and I answered his question we got going a little after nightfall and watched a camp of covenant and snuck in and killed them all with suppressed weapons and knives as we finished that and made our way to the base to get the information
When we got there everything went wrong we were ambushed by a bunch of carbine toting elites and grunts they took out our sniper as we rounded a corner and I hear c16 shout frag out and throw a grenade at the mass of covenant killing a few and we advanced to a forward position once inside I installed a override chip and locked the doors the elites sent suicide grunts to soften the doors and hunters to blow it down we collected all Intel possible and left out the back door as we were leaving cal got shot a carbine round going through his shoulder and I heard his piercing scream as I ripped his helmet off and layed his head on my shoulder and crying I heard him say three things get them out of here and don't look back and that he was sorry I layed him against the wall realization hitting me and I put his helmet over his head and left him layin there we left to the pelican and it took off as I saw my brother's body laying there the jingle of dogtags brung me back to reality and all I could do was cry.

Sorry to end the chapter on such sad terms but the story must go on
