She stopped.
She took in a deep breath she hadn't known she'd been holding as she felt someone's arms securely around her, catching her in mid air.
After a few second she dared to peek down to see them slowly descending to the ground.
Her saviour was a man in a suit like Billy's, but sky blue instead. He had a handsome face and longish blonde hair that framed his features perfectly.
"Don't worry ma'am. You're safe with superman." The guy blurted out, before looking embarrassed and muttering to himself, "god, why would you say superman? That's so stupid. Of all the heroes. And he already exists. What's wrong with you?"
Realisation crept into y/n as her eyes widened.
"Freeman?"
This caught the man off guard.
"What? No. I don't know a Freddy Freeman."
At this point, y/n's feet were safely on the ground and she regained some of her calm. She nodded slowly. "Right, that explains how you know his name is Freddy. But I'm sorry, that was my bad."
He opened his mouth to unleash a hurricane of excuses but she just smiled. Her heels (a/n I mean as in the heel of your feet btw) left the ground as she stood on her tiptoes and planted a kiss to the not-so-stranger's cheek before turning and walking towards the exit. "See you at school, not Freeman." She gave a lazy wave as she called out to the man, or boy, standing dazed behind her.

Freddy slowly bought his hand to his cheek. He watched y/n walk away and realised he should probably go after her with an alibi to protect his identity, but at that moment he couldn't do anything. It was like he was frozen, and he began wandering if that was another one of evil eyeball dude's powers. At that moment, he could think of nothing but the girl who had left him in that state. The fact that she could have died. The fact that she didn't. He heard one of his siblings yell his name and was brought back to the reality of the battle raging around them. Even as he flew in to fight, he couldn't help the small smile that danced on his lips.
