"wow minki, you're better than me!" a cheery voice exclaimed, followed by other voices or laughter.

donghyuck slowly walked to the source of the noise, getting a little lost in the long hallways. the boy had woken up from god knows which out of the endless naps he had taken that day and finally had enough energy to start feeling restless just laying there. he hadn't seen his son since he was in and out sleep the whole day, and was currently trying to find both him and mark. he hadn't really gotten the chance to properly look at the older's home, so he didn't know his way around yet.

once the boy got to the end of the hallway he was walking in, he spotted two new people in the living room with minki. the baby sat on the sofa while the other two were on the floor. minki had his hands in the smaller one's hair, while the other watched in astonishment. it seemed like minki was braiding his hair and appreciating all the praise he was getting from the two cuddly strangers.

donghyuck smiled slightly at the sight, then abruptly heard mark's voice complimenting the baby on his braiding skills as well. the older came into the frame that donghyuck could see in, and checked on minki. he asked him if he was hungry or tired or if he wanted something, before sweetly kissing his forehead.

and there went the boy's heart again.

he suddenly became very shy about notifying mark that he was up and walking, feeling better. he suddenly felt really unpresentable and ugly and nervous, making him subconsciously hide himself in the big hoodie mark gave him to sleep in. just as the older was about to head off to where donghyuck wouldn't be able to see him anymore, he stepped up a little bit.

".. m-mark?" the younger called out in the smallest voice he had ever spoken in. everybody turned to him unanimously, including mark, and he quickly focused his gaze in the floor. the older walked up to him placed a gentle hand on his forehead, before bringing him into a soothing hug.

"well you definitely feel a lot better," mark said with a small giggle, returning his hand to donghyuck's forehead. "did you need something? i'm sorry you had to get up just to find me." he apologized, but the younger shook his head in a manner mark just found so endearing. the boy cleared his throat dryly, wanting to explain that he simply felt like he couldn't lay in bed anymore, yet another voice cut in before he could say anything.

"daddy!" minki squealed, struggling a little to get off the sofa but still managing to do it. the baby waddled quickly over to his father and jumped into donghyuck's arms, who scooped him up and brought him into his hold. he hadn't hugged his son at all today, and now that he was in his arms he could definitely feel his restlessness was because of that. minki kissed his father's cheek and cuddled into him sweetly, which led to the two nice strangers approaching them as well.

"hi~" the shorter one greeted brightly, holding his hand out. "i'm jaehyun, and this is johnny." he told, pointing to johnny who was behind him. donghyuck very timidly nodded, bowing the best he could with minki still in arms. he silently introduced himself, subconsciously hiding himself behind mark as he talked. jaehyun and johnny were able to tell fairly quickly that donghyuck was shy, though they found it endearing in him. the two excused themselves so mark and donghyuck could talk privately, moving back in the living room to cuddle up together and pick a new movie.
