I just run as fast as I can to escape the shooter. Everyone in my class does. We all run to the gas station that is nearby to our school. All I can hear is my heart beating, and I can feel the sweat drip off of my forehead. As we gather into the gas station, we are all breathing heavy, and everyone is watching the news on the T.V. The police are trying to converse with the criminal and talk him out of killing all of the hostages. He says that he is doing it because he is upset and needed to take his anger out on someone. They tell him that the innocent children didn't do anything, and he should let them go. He requests for a helicopter, and a $100,000 or else he kills a hostage. He grabs Joe, one of my friends and says if they don't give him what he wants then he will kill Joe. He holds a pistol to his head, and the police try and talk him out of it. He says that he will just take $100,000 without a helicopter, but they have to let him go. He grabs a teacher, and says give him what he wants or he will kill the teacher. The teacher pleads for her life, and the police say they will think about the deal. They continue to think about it, but ask the intruder if they can bring in some food for the kids as they are really hungry. He says yes, and while they are bringing in the food, they arrest him. Everyone in the gas station cheers in happiness, and we all run to the school, to hug our classmates. Everyone who was involved, all of the teachers, and everyone who did the lockdown procedure correctly kept everyone safe, and no one was killed in the raid of the school. As soon as I get back to the school, I hug all of my classmates, and they though that the intruder killed our class, because we weren't there after the intruder was arrested. Everyone made me out to be a hero, because I saved my class. I got a lot of attention by the media, and was interviewed by a lot of news teams. I didn't really like all of the attention, because I don't like being a center of attention, and I'm a pretty shy person. As soon as the police took away the intruder, families rushed over to the school to hug their children. There were tears in their eyes. Everyone have their parents huge hugs and were so happy everyone remained safe.
