The Runaway Lovers

After Mary escape with bash assistance, the French court went into chaos looking for them. The king sent out a search party while Francis selects a few French guards loyal to him and a few of Faridah's guards in search of Mary. After a few weeks bash and Mary were found and brought back to the French court. Bash is placing in the dungeon, while the king request Mary to the throne room.

Once Faridah heard of this she rushes to the throne room to understand more of what happened. Mary enters the room and stands in front of the king and queen. She states that she is only here for bash behalf. Those words cause Faridah's blood to slightly boil. The king threatens Mary to marry Francis or rumors of Mary and bash spending nights together will surface. Mary not shaken by his threat; Catherine oddly is trying to help Mary in handling the king, but this just angers him.

"You want to be treated like a ruler? Someone who can say no? Do you need lives at stake to take this seriously?"

Faridah's blood quickly stops boiling and starts running. King Henry is threatening his own son's life. Amice could tell the king was not throwing any empty threat, his eye tells it all. He is hungry for England and he is going to get it.

"Threaten Sebastian's life should not be an option." Faridah thought but realizes she end up saying it out loud. Mary looks at her as if she trying to apologize. Catherine can see Amice's fear of the king's threat and knows her feelings for bash.

"Henry, you wouldn't." Catherine tries her best to calm him down.

You'll marry my son Francis and accept our nation's support. As you and your new husband, lay claim to England. Or I will excite my son, my subject, bash, for the treason of costing me England. You can watch him bleed to death on your wedding altar." The king leaves the room.

Mary looks over at Faridah and can see her holding back tears and pain. They know the king will kill bash if Mary does not wed Francis. Faridah walks up to Mary,

"If bash dies because you didn't take Henry's threats seriously. Know that it might be the King's orders to have him executed, but his blood will be on your hands." Faridah warns Mary, but her tone was more of a threat. Faridah exits the room and into her chambers to release her tears.

Faridah and Francis bump into each other while walking down the hall. Francis grabs Fraidah and hugs her; this surprises her but she except it.

"May I ask why I am receiving this hug?" she hugs him back

"We both need this hug." he states causing her to hug him even tighter. She buries her head in his chest and she smells lavender. He chuckles and holds her even closer they pull away from each other and he kisses her forehead.

"Keep your head up. If you need any more hugs I'll always be here."

She smiles and replies "I should be the one to tell you that."

He smiles, "Mary has asked me to meet her, we will talk later." he leaves

"The Queen has requested to see you, your highness." a guard grabs her from the kitchen to inform her.

"Cathrine? why?"

"I'm not sure but she did say it was urgent."

The rush to the Queen's chambers when she arrives she saw Francis was there arguing with his mother.

"Why do you believe everything Nostradamus has told you?"

she rolls her eye and notices Amice there, "Francis, Amice please sit down." she gestures towards her couch. Francis turns around and gives Amice a quick smile. They both sit next to each other and wait for Cathrine to say something.

"There is no easy way to tell both of you this news. So I'm going to tell you bluntly and honestly... Mary has stated that she will marry the next king of France."

Francis jumps up on his feet, "Has she finally come back to her senses!" he interrupts Cathrine.

"No, Francis, she demanded that the baster should be made legitimize and the next in line for the throne." she looks at Francis with such worry

"She wants him Legitimize? Does bash want this? Where is this coming from?" Amice slams Cathrine with questions hoping Cathrine had the answers. Francis falls on the couch and looks up at the ceiling. Cathrine informs Faridah of the vision Nostradamus had of Francis's death and the reason why Mary ran away.

"It's all because of a vision? I know you trust him Cathrine but surely not all of his vision are true." Faridah looks for any hope legitimizing was not the only option for Mary. Francis looks at Amice,

"You believe in the 'visions'" Francis ending his sentence with a hint of sarcasm.

"This is not the right time to say this, but Nostradamus had a vision for me and one part of his vision has happened. I trust you and I used to trust bash, both of you have taken Nostradamus's vision as the truth."

Francis gets up and grabs Faridah by her shoulder, "I can not lose anyone else because of stupid superstition."

"A riot will break out on the street of Alegria, my mother covered in blood, two betrayals will cost me my heart and my country." she looks at him, "You know the civil unrest in my country-"

"So does Nostradamus, he just scaring you. I believe in science and I know you do too, don't let him in your head. He poisoned my mother and Mary, I can't lose you too." his voice cracks and his eyes starts to water up, she sees his pain and believes him. Maybe it was because she does not want to believe in the vision or Francis's pain gave her an excuse to dismiss the vision as superstition.

"you won't lose another person." She places her hand on his face and wipes away the tears that fell from his blue eyes. He takes a couple of deep breaths and looks down on the floor for a few minutes. He looks back up at her with so much anger,

"I'm going to kill him."

"Who?"

"Bash." he storms out the room.

"Shouldn't he want to kill Nostradamus?" Cathrine thought out loud

"He's going to deal with his first problem... which is bash," Faridah said while slowly walking to the door.

"Are you not going to stop him?"

Faridah chuckles and looks down on the floor, "Why should I? Bash no longer loves me, I shouldn't love him back." she walks out the door.
