Chapter 5 Rose

Finished my first week of nursing with mum. To say I was shocked at the amount of people who didn't like mum was a understatement. Okay it's not like a bitch session but they hate how she don't go out with them or anything. It wasn't until I defended her telling them she has 5 kids a husband a club and the hospital. Yeah I was a little defensive but lucky for me another doctor heard me and said that she was a good doctor and the nurses should be grateful she ain't like the old one who run her section.

Day after that they found out I was her daughter. That earnt me a smirk yep I was queen bees daughter. Mess with me and she will own your ass. Okay she actually don't treat me different to other nurses. She treats me the same. Now it's Thursday and I'm in the cafeteria eating lunch.

" hey baby" mum says as she sits

" what's up"

" um I need to head to the city for a few weeks"

" why" I ask

" I've been offered a position so I'm going to have a look. See a few schools for the twins and see if I like it"

" your leaving" I ask shocked

" just for two weeks"

" possible more mum it's a position your looking at schools"

" baby" she says holding my hand.

" don't look at it like that. If I like what I see then I may. I have nothing here baby. Your father and I are done. Ange is starting her life. Your fiddling around with your life Cory has his tattoo studio. I need something hun. I need to find me" she says I have tears in my eyes.

" mum" I say broken knowing she is right with out dad she has nothing and the whole town knows she was his o'l lady.

" it's okay baby. It's just two weeks then after  that I don't know. Having another child and dragging you all down with me isn't in my plans. I can't and wont" she says stern

" please think hard about it mum" I say in a cry sigh

" I have my position here baby. I'll be doing both I just have nothing else" she says biting her lip.

" okay I'll support you mun" I  say leaning over to hug her.

" that's my spirit girl" she says holding me tighter.

" anyone else know" I ask

" no wish me luck Cory and Ange are next in my list"

" luck mumma"

" thank you baby"

She kisses my head and moves forward to the trash and throws her mess away and walks out. I rub my eyes and then do the same.

The day shift was easy. I will start night shifts soon once I know my way around. It's a small hospital and we all get alone. Well most.

" rose" I hear someone shoutI tune to see Ben and Cory.

" guys" I say with my best smile. I haven't spoken to bed since I kinda snuck out of the club house. I've ignored his text. Angel told him work was killing me atm.

" rosey" Cory says hand going over his face. I've got a patient I have to see but he looks stressed.

" guy I am working what's up" I ask

" it's mum she left" Cory says scrunching up his face

" yeah I know. Work thing" I brush it off.

" wait how you know" I ask again

" I was home with Adam. Also I found the apartment listing"
