"How'd it go?" Luke asks when we hop into the car and toss the duffel bags in the trunk.

"Fine except for the part where there was 2 unknown men in the room you told us to go in." Lena says sounding pissed off.

"I don't think they were guards or even a part of the crips." I elaborate. "The boy on me didn't have their symbol tattoo. He had a bunch but tattoos but not a skull."

"What they fuck?" Luke says raising his voice. "Who would be there and why did they just let you go like that? They probably recognized you which means they are enemies of your father. He will have my head when he hears about this."

"It's probably nothing." I say trying to assure him.

I wake up to my alarm and quickly shut it off. I spring out of bed surprisingly easy considering I got 4 hours of sleep last night.

I change into a pair of black and white patterned pants and a white cropped t shirt. I grab my backpack and head downstairs.

"Morning." My sister Faith, who is supposed to be away at college, says when I enter.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" I asks throwing my arms around her neck and pulling her in for a hug.

"Dad forced me to come home because an old friend of his may have just moved into town and could possibly be out for our family." She says rolling her eyes. "Personally I think I would've been better off not here, but he told me he'd stop paying for school, so I decided it would be smart to listen."

"Sorry he dragged you back here, he has been acting really protective lately. Probably because of m-" i start, but Faith cuts me off before I can say her name.

"Have fun at school, I'm going out." She says and is gone within seconds. She's been taking moms condition really hard, as am I, but I've learned to deal with it.

When I got to school, I ran right to first period because I was running late and since then, the day has been going by pretty quick. It's already 5th period and I'm excited to get home soon.

I scroll through Instagram as students file in one by one.

"I'm new today is there anywhere specific I should sit?" I hear a familiar voice say at the front of the room.

When I look up, I see the familiar boy from last night that had me pinned against the wall.

"Ah, Mr. Smith. You can take a seat in the back next to Ms. Miller." She says pointing at me causing me to bow my head back down hoping he doesn't recognize me.

"Fuck." I swear to myself. If my dad finds out that someone from the mission last night that saw me is now attending my high school, he will take me out. I would have to move away and I wouldn't get to finish senior year. I cant let that happen.

He sits down not saying anything at first which relieves me, but I can already tell this bitch won't keep his mouth shut forever.

"Miller, how basic of you." He says when everyone starts the class work.

"I could say the same thing Mr. Smith." I say grinning. I know he recognizes me, but at least he doesn't know what family I come from. I think keeping this whole situation a secret won't be too hard.

"So what's your actual name?" He asks.

"Eve Miller. Like she said." I say referring to my teacher.

"Funny. You don't have to tell me, but I won't be telling you mine either then." He says shrugging with a grin.

"I'd rather not know what group you come from." I say sassily. The thing with my family is we are a gang, but not like a typical one because usually gangs are groups of people from all over. Mine is just my family. Whether they are blood, or tied in because there spouse being blood, that's all we let in. That's all we can trust.

"What makes you so sure I'm from a group?" He asks. I know for a fact that my family is the only gang like this besides for 1 other gang that my dad refuses to talk about. He says they aren't important for the time being.

Soon the bell rings and I gather my things before exiting the room.

"See you around Miller." He says sarcastically before disappearing into the crowd of students.

Turns out I have 3 classes with harry. When my friends found out, they flipped out and told me how jealous they were. I was annoyed by the amount of classes we have together because if my dad finds out, I'm in deep shit.

As annoyed as I was, I was still slightly happy because I'm not going to lie, harry is a pretty good looking guy.

My dad has one rule though. One rule that he says if broken just once, everything will be taken away. I don't get a second chance.

His rule is that school and my family are 2 of my worlds. 2 worlds that can't mix.
