⭐Captain Material Pt.2⭐

Third Person's POV

Since the car fire and dealing with Cass, Derek Copeland had a feeling in the pit of my stomach that something wasn't right with that Daniel kid's case.

"Eric, I need you to pull up the feed from the security cams near the hospital. I want to see exactly what happens to Perry's car on the way to lab. Can you do that?" Derek asked Eric, trying to get to the bottom of this feeling that I was having.

"Wait don't tell me that you think Perry's involved" " I don't think anything. I just want to see what happened alright" Eric started before his was quickly cut him off; making sure that it didn't seem like Derek was accusing anybody of anything.

"Yeah alright" Eric mumbled as he quickly pulled up the security camera footage. " Wait what just happened.... Go back!" Derek instructed Erik as he saw that all the security was cutting out right before we could see what was happening. "There's nothing before this; the camera usually goes down every twelve hours for maintenance" Erik explained to his supervisor.

Frustrated Derek left his seat trying to find more evidence as Erik let out a big sigh of relief hoping that he wouldn't be caught.

Sophie and Brooke were sitting around one of the tables in the Eagles clubhouse as Sophie was trying to get some juicier gossip for her blog on the new ex-captain.

"Do we have to do this?" Brooke asked unsure if she wanted to rat out her boyfriend to her best friend. "Yes it for the blog! "Exclusive Interview with the new ex-captain girlfriend" Sophie said trying to sell Brooke on the idea.

"So how do you feel?" She asked going to her notepad to start writing Sophie's responses. " I want this part off the record" Brooke told Sophie. The look of worry on Brooke's face showed that she was about to tell something serious.

"When I was in the hospital, I think I overheard Judy trying to convince the doctor to give her to taser barb evidence" The blonde girl admitted to her dark-haired friend. "What? Are you sure?" Brooke said she could believe what she was hearing.

"I think so. Anyways, the evidence was already gone and then the police car exploded just like that and why did she tell Daniel that she would get my dad to change his mind and instead agree with him? And you know Marcus, he's been acting...." Brooke said starting to spill her entire theory. "Woah woah, slow down. I can see that your totally stressed about Daniel" Sophie said trying to calm her friend down without implying to much.

"So-" "So, it's making you over analyze everything. Hey listen, I'd be doing the same thing if my boyfriend was demoted like Daniel." Sophie said trying to explain her point to her friend.

"Actually that's the one thing I don't mind. We finally have time to spend together, just the two of us. The whole captain thing, most of the time, was just a hassle." Brooke admitted.

"But, I mean, you do get to lead your house and solve others people problems" Sophie drifted unconsciously. "Sorry, were we?" She said refocusing and getting back on track.

Cassie's POV

I was sitting on the bench outside of the gym after I had run out trying to clear my head of everything that was going on with Leo. It was starting to get to me. How could I boy that I had known for almost two years and liked for the better part of it have no interest in me.
