James POV

I make my way into the school that I waited so long to get into. I may of gotten in but, I still have a lot to prove. As I walk the halls I find my way into the dance studio. I slowly open the doors and make my way in, i see Fred stretching.

"Hey Fred, is it okay if I show you a solo I have been working on for the gala. I know I am here to challenge Jasmine, but she hasn't tried to perform anything." I explain. He looks at me and smiles, i hand him my phone and signal when I am ready for him to press play.

After the music stops, I stand tall and look him in the eye. Hugging and puffing I ask "So what did you think?"

He smiles and states "I knew I brought you here for a reason. Now young man, when do you plan on telling my niece what you name really is. She is a lot smarter then she looks, and not a force to recon with."

I laugh slightly and reply, "If she is as smart as you say she is, she will already know by now. I am not hiding who I am, nor what my name is. She will just have to ask or perform with me if she wants real answers." I pick up my belongings and get ready for my first period class.

"James your asking for trouble, she is not someone you want on the team against you." He says warningly.

I rush into my first class of the day. But I can't help but let my mind drift to Jasmine, she is so beautiful. The way she takes control of a room when she enters. How at such a young age she has accomplished so much. How she makes it so hard for anyone to break down her walls. Oh, how I love a challenge.

"Mr.Collins, Mr.Collins." I flash out of my thoughts and face a very angry teacher "I have called you way to many times. You are being summoned by the principal. Here is your pass." I roll my eyes and take the pass. Wow teachers here must have sticks up there ass, they need to chill.

As I am walking down the halls some girl walks by me and smiles, I wave slightly letting her know she caught my attention. Then walk right past. I get to the main office and walk in. The principal is waiting outside his office and I look at him confused. He gestures for me to enter his office but close the door behind me. When I turn I see the gorgeous Jasmine Williams right in front of me. The light reflecting perfectly off her glowing skin.

"Mr.Collins, why does your application not state your full name?" She ask with a serious look on her face.

"Jasm.." she cuts me off with a single hand gesture "Ms.Williams, why is it you have access to these files?" I question her. And by her facial expression she is not happy about it. I can see she isn't a fan of anyone questioning her position

"James Collins is not your full name. For someone not to use there full name that means they are hiding something, running from someone, or you are ashamed of who you truly are." She states "I am in no mood for games, or inadequate answers. Your name is James Steven Collins Karsavina. So James... what are you hiding?" She looks at me as if she is ready to kill. Well I guess my secret is out and I have no choice but to fess up.

"Well umm.. I didn't want to get judged based off my name. I have been for years, every dance school, every competition. I applied with my actual name and still got turned away. It wasn't until your uncle saw my new application then went to a competition I was at. He spoke to me and told me that he could get me in. For god sake my nam..." she stood up and walked towards the door.

It was silent for a few moments until "Your name is not on this building, mine is. The name is a dedication to your ancestor. But you sir have no right to this building or to what it succeeds in. This is your first and final warning. You want to earn your spot at this school, go ahead. The Gala is your last chance to prove to me you belong here." With no other words she left. Leaving me in silence, with my own thoughts.

Instead of being scared or stressed I wasn't, I was actually even more intrigued in her as a person. She has so much hidden I can't wait to unlock.
