mission part 2

Lucy pov.

As we're on the train I lean my head against the window as levy and gajeel sit across from me with gajeel laying on levy's lap while she's reading. I sigh as I pull out my novel working on my latest chapter, feeling someone looking at what I'm doing I look up to see levy trying to read what I have so far. Key word try i smirk as she has yet to notice me looking at her. "Levy-chan what chu doing?" I smirk as she blushes sitting back "lu-chan!? I wanna read it!" She whines. "Its not done yet levy-chan I promised you'd be the first to read it calm down I'm almost done i just have a few chapters to do then it should be done" I say as she grins eager to read it. "Yay lu-chan I'm so happy that your almost done I've been dying to read it!" She shouts happily before covering her mouth giggling lightly as gajeel nuzzles into her stomach. I smile at them as levy goes back to reading her book.

Time skip after they got off the train

Normal pov.

As lucy, gajeel, lily, and levy were in the way to the mayor's house lucy starts to walk ahead before turning and walking backwards while looking at them "why dont I go to the mayor's and you guys go find us a hotel to stay at while on the mission" she more says than ask. "sure lu-chan" levy says while smiling then she grabs gajeel's hand and drags him with her. Lily chuckles at them "why aren't you going with them lily?" lucy ask as she tilts her head. "I'm going with you"lily says before flying towards her and landing on her shoulder. Lucy smiles "okay" Lucy grabs lily holding him to her chest as she scratches behind his ear listening to him purring.

Lily's pov.

I purr as she scratches behind my ear. 'I hope this doesnt go as it did in Carla's vision' lily frowns thinking back to when carla had her vission.

~~~~Flashback~~~~

I'm sitting on the table next to happy and carla suddenly carla grabs her head as she squeezes her eyes shut. I jump up and walk over to her. "Carla?" I tap her shoulder but she suddenly gasp before jumping back out of fright not recognizing me for a second. "L-lily?" She said, I could her the tremble in her voice as she looks around with frightened eyes. "Where's levy and lucy!?" She suddenly shouts. I reel back shocked before looking at her confused. "They went home to pack for a mission and I'm gonna meet them at the station" I say with caution not knowing what's gonna happen. She grabs my shoulder tightly " lily you must protect Lucy something is gonna happen levy has gajeel but lily has no one so Protect. Her." She says in a deadly tone. I look shocked at her. "W-what happened in your vision carla?" I ask confused more than ever. She sighs before sitting down and starts explaining. I sit down and listen worried.

-After she's done explaining-

"W-what!? No that's not possib-well actually it might not be but carla why were they sealed up?" I ask confused. She frowns " I I'm not sure lily" she mumbles.

Still lily's pov.

I was pulled from the flashback by someone talking to me I look up feeling someone looking at me and see lu looking at me worried. "Lily? Are you okay?" She ask frowning, I frown seeing her frown "yeah what do you mean lu?" I ask acting natural she raises a brow at the nickname but ignores it at the moment "are you sure u mean you just froze and dug your claws into my arm with a distant look in your eyes" she says frowning more. I look at her arm to indeed see I had my claws in her arm. I pull them out quickly and try to stop the bit of blood that's coming out " oh my God lu I'm so sorry i-i didn't mean too" I say frantically.

Normal pov.

Lucy giggles lightly before pulling her arm away to let his head "tis fine lily it's not that bad I promise" she smiles softly trying to calm him down. Lily sighs and buries his face into her chest mumbling  apologetically. She holds him closer and  lets his head more while walking up the stairs to the mayor's door and knocking. A minute after she knocked a black haired butler looks at them before asking "you the fairy tail mages" he ask looking at lucy and lily. Lucy nods before explaining that they have two other but they are looking for a hotel to stay in. He beckons them in before turning and walking towards the mayor's office. He knocks before opening the door and standing to the side "sir the fairy tail mages are here." The mayor turns around as lucy walks in holding lily. "Is this all there is?" The mayor ask confused. Lucy shakes her head "no sir we two other companions but their looking for a hotel to stay in." The mayor nods and tells the butler to leave them. "So I'm just gonna get straight to the topic, their is a group of mages about 20 to 30 that come at noon and start to attack our men and grab woman and children, I had a wife and son" he says in a solemn voice. Lucy frowns "what do you mean had sir?" The mayor sighs before leaning back in his chair " they were taking a walk through town the day the first attack happened " he says looking down. Lucy looks down at lily before asking the mayor "do you know what direction they enter and exit at and any information on them?" Lucy ask. The mayor looks up "they enter through the southeast part of town and exit through there to, unfortunately we dont know anything on any of the mages" he sighs and runs his temples. Lucy stands up and bows before looking at the mayor with a determined look in her eyes " we will find them and get everyone back I promise" lucy says as she turns to leave.
