I have a problem, a huge problem.
I don't want to get up, yet my alarm clock keeps screaming at me. And the other half of me wants to get up so I'm not late for school. Especially today.
My first day as a senior!
I pushed away my dilemma and decided to get up. First thing first was to pick out my outfit. A dress, not a body con but rather a white lace dress that falls above my knees and topping it off with navy sandals. Of course not forgetting a bracelet or my earrings. Next was to do my makeup. Mascara, light brush of blush, brows filled in, and my Chapstick. Last thing last is my hair. I decided to do beach curls on my light brown hair that go down to my chest. Now welcome to my life.
I live with my dad, my step mother, and her two sons. I do feel out of place most times but I try fitting in. You see when I was about two my mother had died of lung cancer. I was way too young when I lost my mother. The sad part is, I don't even remember what she was like. I always dreamed of meeting her one day, having her here with me. I"be heard many wonderful stories of her and what she was like. I've always loved having those images in my head.
Leah, that's my step mother's name. My dad had actually been with Leah before he met my mother. They never married but he had two sons with her while they were together. The first born was Marcus who's only three years old than I am and then came Nicolai who's two years old than I am. It turns out he had left Leah for my mother whom he really loved. Within the year of being with my mother, they had me and then married two months later. I never understood why Leah took my father back after several years and why my father went back to her after my mothers death. I really had no comment on my father getting back with his ex after my mothers death, I was too young to know any better. Leah became my mother basically when I was at the age of four. Ever since we've lived together under the same roof, yet I don't call her my mother.
"Scarlett!" The voice had belonged to Leah.
I started to walk down the staircase and saw her standing at the bottom. "Yeah?"
Her emotionless face soon turned into a big ole happy smile and she ran up the stairs to hug me tightly. "Oh Scarlett! You're a senior! Can you believe it? I just-"
She started to tear up, which made me hug her tighter. "Aw Leah please don't cry, it's nothing really-"
"Oh you are crazy! I just remember your first day of kindergarten and now it's your first day as a senior.....I just can't believe the beautiful woman you have become. It's really touching, you know..." She started to sob now.
"Aw Leah, thank you. Thank you so much for all you have done, I really do love you Leah." She slowly let go off me wiping off her tears with the sleeves. I smiled at her and reassured her that it was okay.

I stood in front of my school, admiring the scene in front of me. This time it really did feel different, it was a good feeling. I was interrupted by a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and a chin sitting on my shoulder
"Hey beautiful."
I instantly recognized who it was and turn my head to kiss my beloved. "Hey handsome."
Sean let of go my waist and turned to face me with a big grin. "Guess what?"
"Mmh?"
"We're fucking seniors!!!" With that, he lifted me up by my legs throwing me over his shoulder. I couldn't help but squirm and laugh at the same time. This boy knew how to make me happy.
