The High lord and lady of the Night court couldn't sleep, and decided to take a midnight stroll through the forest near the shining Sidra.

The heavily pregnant Feyre, who would go into labor any day now, smiled at her husband and mate. "You know, walking under the stars is my most favorite thing." Rhys looked down on his mate, with so much love in his eyes, that it gave her goosebumps. "It is beautiful, isn't it," he said as he looked at her enormous belly.

They walked through open fields, the high grass touching their legs, the stars so bright that it illuminated the entire clearing. "We should go back darling, you can't walk too far with that little guy inside of you." "Don't be such an drama queen, I am fine."
Feyre laughed, but her husband suddenly stiffened. She followed his gaze to see him staring at something in the forest. "What is it Rhys?"

He had never felt this before, this immense power, this energy field that pulled him in. He pushed down an upcoming growl as he maneuvered Feyre behind him, slowly walking towards the thing.

"Stay behind me," he said to her. Normally she would've told him she could protect herself, but his voice was deadly serious and she was carrying a baby. So she stayed close to her mate as they strode closer to whatever it was.

He let his magic lose, all of it, the trees shook from his power. As soon as his power touched the otherworldly magic, it started vibrating. The magic wasn't good or bad, had no intentions. It didn't come from something living, it just existed. "Rhys?" Feyre asked him. He turned around. "I have absolutely no idea what it is, never felt this before. I asked Amren, she's on her way."

Within a few minutes, the ancient one arrived, eyes filled with irritation. "This better be extremely important Rhysand, you just woke me up." As soon as she had finished her sentence, her eyes grew wide, her nostrils flared. "What's all the commotion?"

Azriel, Cassian and Morrigan arrived as well. "Who told them?" Amren snorted. "I did," Feyre answered. "Whatever it may be, we can use extra force." "That won't be necessary. This is a Wyrd gate. It connects worlds together."

Everyone was flabbergasted. "Worlds, as in plural?" Cass said, face lit up by surprise. "We aren't the only creatures you know. There are...dozens of other worlds, with fae, humans, witches. This one...this one leads to Erilea." No one dared to ask how she knew.

"Well, are you gonna open it?" Mor said with a squeaky voice, trying to contain her curiosity. "Rhysand?"

Ten minutes later, the inner circle stared through a shining portal, the light surrounding it so bright that it caused Feyre to squeeze her eyes.
The first thing they all smelled was pine and snow. A forest, so vast that they couldn't see the end, stretched out before them. Mountains so tall they touched the sky. And to their left, a castle so beautiful, that it shone in the moonlight. "I don't know if it's safe, maybe I should go first," Azriel said, staring at Feyre's belly. "We're all going in," Rhys interfered. "I feel that there is something on the other side that I know."

One by one, the inner circle stepped through the portal and into Erilea, Terrasen.

Twenty two years later

He dipped his wooden pencil into a deep crimson color, the bright sunlight shining on the painting in front of him. It was definitely one of the best paintings he had ever created. The wings had the perfect shape, the body broad and muscular. Yeah, his uncle would definitely be happy with his birthday gift.
